As a self-admitted movie novice, I am guilty of assuming each film has one director and one writer.

Wrong. Wizard of Oz in fact had five directors and fourteen writers…potential reasoning for its success?
This just goes to show how much effort is put into the film… no wonder it was a massive hit.
