Back in 1939, the film making industry was just getting started. This meant that a lot of their products were very make-shift.
She’s so scary!
The most worrying thing to learn about this film is that the make-up she had on her face was actually toxic. Supposedly it was so toxic she couldn’t even eat while in makeup. We can’t imagine what that would have done to her health?!
