The scene whereby the Wicked Witch disappears into a cloud of smoke is memorable to say the least.
But Margaret Hamilton truly suffered for her art during this scene. Not only this, but her stunt double also suffered as well!
It’s dangerous work being an actress!
She suffered a burn, but it didn’t deter her from continuing in her role as the Wicked Witch. The show must go on, as they say.
