Alex Cooper shot to fame after her podcast, Call Her Daddy, went global.
Discussing all things sex and relationships for twentysomething girls everywhere, it was clear that Alex’s show had tapped into a lucrative market.
Her unique brand has continued to soar in recent times- but as she’s become more famous, the more criticism she’s received along the way.
So what do we know about Alex Cooper, and who is she currently dating?

Podcasting
Alex Cooper and her pal Sofia Franklyn started the Call Her Daddy podcast just three years ago. But it’s already become a huge phenomenon.
While Sofia decided to leave after disputes about her contract with entertainment company Barstool Sports, Alex has continued her podcasting success.
She recently signed a super-cushy deal with Spotify for a reported $60m (£43m), making the sex and relationships podcast one of the most in-demand in the world.
But according to Alex, podcasting isn’t as easy as people might think!
Chatting with BBC’s Newsbeat, the star said:
“If anyone comes to me with an ‘Oh I just want to start a podcast’, I would give them advice that they need to have essentially not only a business plan, but a creative plan.

I think what listeners enjoy, as much as they love the authenticity that is podcasting, they also enjoy feeling like this is a show.
So many celebrities are trying to do it and sometimes it falls short or they’re not able to retain an audience.”
Controversies
Alex Cooper’s show has received criticism in the past for its dating advice, which has focused on how to please and satisfy men.
She’s therefore been accused of encouraging her listeners to internalise misogyny, which has landed the podcaster in hot water.
Alex has acknowledged her mistakes with her podcast over the years- especially with some of the advice that she’s previously given her audience.
As the podcasting host is now in a relationship, she feels like this has given her a fresh perspective.
“Now that I’m not chasing a guy I think I have a better perspective on why I said those things.
On my show I’m trying to show how with my personal life you can be a successful woman, you can find whatever your lane is and you can have a successful relationship and someone that is going to be supportive of your career.”

But the podcasting darling has also come under fire for editing her Instagram photos– and a viral TikTok video has “exposed” Alex Cooper for altering images of her appearance.

Shortly after this, Alex decided to dedicate one of her podcast episodes to the issue, called “I Got Caught Photoshopping”. The star discussed the issue in more detail, and said she’d edited a photo using the Facetune app. This was because she felt “uncomfortable” with how her body looked.
The podcasting star added that she’s “absolutely” edited photos of herself in the past, but won’t be continuing to do so.
Dating Life
After her controversies, it seems like Alex Cooper is a little wiser for it.
She’s often told stories about her single life in New York, but all that changed now that she’s involved with a mystery man.
After finally becoming more settled, she’s remained tight-lipped about her boyfriend’s identity- and often refers to him as “Mr Sexy Zoom Man” during her shows!
