Elijah Wood’s (Frodo Baggins) last shot hit director Peter Jackson the hardest. They were filming a scene from the very end of the film, where Frodo is just finishing up his story.

In the behind the scenes footage, the cast and Peter Jackson himself recognize that Peter didn’t want to finish the scene. He prolonged it for a long period of time. But when he finally said they’d got the shot, there were tears all around. Ugh, pass the tissues!
