Charles Bernard Foster is Jodie Foster’s eldest son. He was born in 1998 when Jodie Foster was in a relationship with the producer Cydney Bernard. Jodie and her partner gave both their names to their son, in a sweet gesture.
Her son is now 23 years old but shows no inclination to go into the acting business like his mother – yet.
In an interview, Jodie Foster admitted that Charles Bernard Foster may someday go into acting. She said: “My older son is getting more interested in acting now, and I’m glad he discovered it late. My younger son is really shy and I can promise you he will never be an actor.”

Charles Bernard Foster isn’t Jodie’s only child. She had her youngest son, Kit Bernard Foster in 2001. Both children would have been born via IVF, and the name of their father has never been revealed.
At the Golden Globes in 2013, Jodie Foster publicly acknowledged that her relationship with Cydney had come to an end. As her sons watched on in the audience, she accepted the Cecil B DeMille Award for lifetime achievement.
In her acceptance speech, Jodie confirmed that she was now single, and also hinted at her sexuality. The actress has never officially come out as gay, however in her speech that night she said:

Though Jodie split from her long-term partner Cydney – who Jodie called her “most beloved BFF of 20 years” – she is now happily married to another woman.
In April 2014, she married actress and photographer Alexandra Hedison. The couple had been dating for about eight months before tying the know. However, not much more is known about their relationship.
Alexandra is mainly known for her roles in the series Prey and The L Word. The actress actually used to date Ellen DeGeneres.

While Jodie Foster prefers to keep her relationships and her sons Kit and Charles Bernard Foster behind closed doors, the star has had a whirlwind public career.
