Lisa Niemi was married to actor and dancer Patrick Swayze for an incredible 34 years. After Patrick sadly died in 2009, some thought Lisa, a writer, dancer, and actress, would never marry again.
However, she proved everybody wrong, and in 2014 married Albert DePrisco.

Albert DePrisco is an American businessman and actor. He didn’t find himself in the limelight until he married Lisa Swayze in May 2014.
Albert works in the jewelry business and owns a store in Wellesley, Massachusetts. The brand also has further branches in downtown Boston and Cape Cod.

The 58-year-old proposed to Lisa Niemi on Christmas Eve 2013. They were introduced by mutual friends at a birthday party for Niemi and had been seeing each other for almost two years.
In early 2014, Lisa made the move from California to Florida, where Albert DePrisco lives. The pair moved into Lisa’s fifth-floor beachfront condo which she had previously bought for $413,000.
Before this, Lisa had been jetting between Cali and Florida to see Albert.
Lisa has also described that after getting engaged to Albert DePrisco, she had a dream about Patrick, which she took as a sign that her marriage was approved by her late husband.
“It was like he was giving me his blessing and letting me know it was okay. Again, it can be hard sometimes to take those steps forward, but it doesn’t change the way we feel about someone. He was letting me know that.”
Their Wedding
Lisa had already hinted that she may find herself another husband after the death of Patrick. One year after his death, she said:
“I would love companionship love. Absolutely. I hope I’m not one of these women who never want to have another relationship
But who knows, that s another bridge I’ll cross when I come to it. I may get there and go, I don’t know. But I like to think that I can.”

Albert DePrisco and Lisa Niemi were married in May 2014 at The Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida. They were joined by more than 50 of their family and friends.
Lisa wore a chic Oscar de la Renta floor-length gown, while Albert looked dapper in an Ermenegildo Zegna dinner jacket.
The bride and groom performed a choreographed dance at the reception, harkening to Lisa’s background as a professional dancer. On their first dance, Lisa said:
“Albert was concerned about looking good in the dance, but he has natural rhythm, and is a great mover – much more so than he knows!
I knew, though, that if we just looked into each other’s eyes and danced with our hearts, all would be well. The dance was a blast. And we got quite a bit of applause! It was so fun to share it.”

Lisa Niemi met Patrick Swayze when she was just 15 years old. They met at the dance school that Patrick’s mother worked at.
The couple got married in June 1975 and moved to New York City not long after to pursue their careers. Lisa and Patrick would later relocate to California where they also raised horses together.

Sadly, in November 2007, Patrick was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He was told that he may not live longer than six months, but he battled the disease for close to two years.
Lisa has described how she would take him to all of his doctor’s appointments, sometimes by piloting a plane.
Describing her journey through Patrick’s diagnosis and eventual death, Lisa said:
“I describe going into that journey as being in a nightmare that I couldn’t wake up from. But at the same time, one thing that was so wonderful about Patrick is he was such a hero in how he faced this.
It gave us the opportunity to take each other’s hands and go through this together and help support each other through it.”
