Steve Arnott might speak with a South East London accent but actor Martin Compston actually hails from Scotland where he was a professional footballer moving from Aberdeen F.C. to Greenock Morton F.C..

In the BBC show, Steve might struggle in his love life but in real life he’s certainly a lot luckier. So, just who is his wife Tianna Flynn?

Who Is Martin Compston’s Wife?

Tianna Flynn is an aspiring, American actress who is currently working as an estate agent. She attended the Advanced Technologies Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Her Facebook page states that she is an actress, model and stuntwoman.

In 2012, Tianna played Teisha in Secret Diary Of An American Cheerleader which was released as a web-series.

The couple met when Tianna was a nightclub manager at the Hudson hotel in LA. He reportedly serenaded her with Irish songs when he learnt of her Irish heritage.

Where Did They Get Married?

Martin and Tianna Chanel Flynn have been married since 2016. Martin recently shared a snap of his wife at their wedding for their anniversary.

The couple married at St. Joseph’s chapel in Martin’s hometown of Greenock. And yes, his co-stars Adrian Dunbar (who plays Superintendent Ted Hastings) and Stephen Graham (Corbett) were in attendance amongst many other celebs.

Now, the couple live in Las Vegas with Tianna’s mum Sissy living just two streets away.

She Had A Cameo In Line Of Duty

In the latest series, Tianna gives a sneak appearance on the BBC drama. When DS Steve Arnott receives a dating app message from a woman named Tina Watts, the picture shown is actually Tianna cuddling a dog. That dog is also the staffie that she and Martin share, called King.

Do They Have Children?

In July 2019, the couple confirmed that they were expecting their first child together.

Then, on 26 March 2020, Martin appeared on Good Morning Britain and said how lucky he felt that he made it back to US after filming for Line of Duty was halted.

Martin said:

“I was very lucky. I was just in my flat on a Saturday night, learning my lines for the week ahead.

The news came through that Trump had suspended all flights from the UK, so I think within 12 hours I was on a flight. 

I was on a production that I’ve been on for a long time and our producers are friends and understand, and they said to me, “You’ve got to put family first”.

At that point it was a very strange atmosphere because we knew we were going to stop at some point, but we had to follow government guidelines and at the time I left we hadn’t stopped, so I just made it back by the skin of my teeth.”

Is Line Of Duty Coming Back?

Series six of the anti-corruption police drama was due to air in 2020 but production has been halted due to current Coronavirus pandemic.

Luckily, filming will re-start soon with the usual Line of Duty cast and new guest star Kelly Macdonald who was part of the Trainspotting, Boardwalk Empire and Nanny McPhee Cast. The series should be back on our screens by 2021.

Speaking of the script for this season, Martin said:

“The scripts this year … again, they just seem better than ever. I keep waiting for the year that Jed won’t make something better, but he always seems to do that.”

Plus, worry about continuity between pre-lockdown and post-lockdown shooting, Martin joked:

“We’ll have to accommodate the stone of weight that I’ve put on!”
