Regarded as one of the best British professional boxers, Tony Bellew or Bomber retired in 2018 after 11 years of boxing. 

His reputation is undeniably terrific with the WBC cruiserweight title from 2016 to 2017, the British and Commonwealth light-heavyweight titles from 2010 to 2014, the European cruiserweight title from 2015 to 2016 and a three-time ABA heavyweight champion as an amateur. 

So, what is the retired boxer up to now? A peek at Tony Bellew’s Instagram might just surprise you.

The list of boxers he knocked down is a long one and it includes Jamie Ambler, Adam Wilcox, Paul Bonson, Ayitey Powers, Hastings Rasani, and David Haye

His last match before he hung up his boxing gloves for good was the highly anticipated fight with Oleksandr Usyk. Unfortunately, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tony. 

Apart from his talents, Tony his well-known for being supportive of his fellow boxers. 

What Tony said about Deontay Wilder after his win against Luis Ortiz for the WBC heavyweight belt is enough proof of his sportsmanship and solidarity.

On November 23 2018, Tony left a message out to his fans and followers in Instagram. 

“It is time for me to finally leave the ring, the bell has rung for the final time and I want to thank you all for the support you have given me over the years, it is not the end of my story though so keep an eye on www.bomberbellew.co.uk.”

Expectedly, there were a series of comments from his ardent fans!

Apart from spending time with his family and continuously supporting his fellow boxers, Tony seems to have been quite busy since his retirement. 

Just a month after his retirement, he launched a 12-week training plan which includes audio workouts, training advice, and diet recipes. 

Motivations Galore…

Being looked up by millions of fans and supporters worldwide, Tony’s words of motivation go a long way for those who are looking to make changes to their lifestyle.

In one of Tony Bellew’s Instagram posts, he said, 

“Let’s keep it going! To those of you who’ve thought about getting started but for some reason not properly managed it yet, don’t beat yourself up! It’s never too late to get started! 

“I’ve been there many many times, I understand what it’s like, guys, you’ve just got to take action, get outside and just put one foot in front of the other, or walk through that gym door, or get into the garage and do that first workout…”

Wife, Family And Quality Time Together…

It is no secret that Tony Bellew and his wife Rachael Roberts are a tight couple. Time away from the boxing ring means more quality time for Tony, Rachael and their kids.

A few people have been seeing me out training and asking me, and some comments on my recent posts too… I have been upping my game training (best I can with my ankle) and I have been smashing my diet thanks to @dotheunthinkableuk , but I want to confirm as I am being asked loads… No, I am not coming out of retirement! I am taking it as a compliment though as it means you think I am losing some of my fat bits ha. Was 17.7 stone, I’m now 16.2 stone after 8 weeks, feeling fitter and stronger now too. The reality show involves tough intense training carried out by Special Air Service trainers.

What’s more, the celebrities are expected to live in basic conditions that test their physical and mental strength. 

Tony Is Dealing With Anger Issues

Recently, Tony has revealed that he is constantly battling his aggressive nature. Sadly, retirement has not all been glorious for him.

In a heartbreaking interview, Tony opened up that since he retired, he has lost focus. Apparently, he had done everything he wanted to do in his life. 

“So I need ­something new and I’m trying to find it, but I don’t know what I’m supposed to do. I’m 37 and I’ve got no job. It can be tough sometimes.”

He also admitted that he misses fighting, punching people in the face and the buzz of walking into the boxing ring.

“I’ve got an aggressive side, there’s no two ways about it. That’s how I’ve been able to do what I’ve done in my life.”
