Wilbur Wonka is the father of Willy Wonka and is depicted throughout the film in the form of flashbacks until he and his son are reunited at last.
Wilbur Wonka is seen as a very strict, cold parent who refuses to let his son eat any kind of chocolate or sweet even on occasion. He also makes Willy wear a headgear and brace that distorts his face and looks extremely uncomfortable…It’s not surprising that Willy Wonka later runs away from home!
You might recognise Christopher Lee from his iconic role as Dracula. The actor continued to have a long and lustrous career. He appeared in six of Tim Burton’s films beforen passing away from complications of respiratory problems and heart failure in June 2015. He was 93 years old.
