There was an outbreak of lice during the second film

The thing we remember most from the second film is the mass of spiders and giant snake… but now if we watch it again we might just have to look to see if anyone if scratching their heads. When filming was happening for The Chamber of Secrets, there was an outbreak of head lice on set. One way the parasites can spread is through the sharing of combs, brushes and hats so perhaps the hair and costume teams were using contaminated brushes without knowing… gross. It’s unknown how many of the witches and wizards were scratching their heads but it was definitely bad enough to stop production until each and every strand had been treated. If only there was a spell for that; pediculus abierunt (lice gone) ?
