Famous Prints We Couldn’t Help Admiring

Every household had a couple of framed prints on the wall.  They were as crucial as the multi-coloured carpet and curtains.  I don’t know why, but each family seemed to hang the same paintings and your taste was frowned upon if you didn’t choose from the small selection.

It was an untold rule that a foreign beauty had to hang above the fireplace.  I don’t think it was the heat from the fire elements that got my uncle hot under the collar…

We were all suckers for a cutie and this one never failed to impress in every other house in our street.

Despite the popularity of these prints, I still adorned my bedroom walls and ceiling with pop posters of the Bay City Rollers and David Essex, stuck down with Tip-ex.
