Well, there are not a lot of photos of him out of character! That’s because he lived less than a decade after this show went off the air.
Here he is taking photos with fans!
Somehow, he knew how important this character was to the story and he was glad to be a part of it.

Therefore, you can see him keeping up with his character whenever he was meeting with his fans.
He had tender heart as well.
The only way for us to live on is through the memories of others and our memories of him are fond indeed!

He was definitely one of the greatest character actors of the 80s while doing this role!
He came to his passing on February 11, 1994.
We will always remember his solid white suits, cowboy hat and cigar. It was his signature role!
