Adam Crofts: What Do We Know About Tina O’Brien’s Husband?
Tina O’Brien has found legions of fans since joining the cast of Coronation Street in 1999. She’s appeared as Sarah Platt on the long-running soap for over 15 years now.
Coronation Street isn’t only where she developed her acting career, though – it’s also where she met her first husband, Ryan Thomas. He played Sarah’s on-screen husband Jason for six years.
Today, though, Tina has a new partner, Adam Crofts. But what do we know about him? And how did Tina and Adam meet?
Who is Adam Crofts?
Tina O’Brien married her husband Adam Crofts in 2018, at the glamorous King Street Townhouse in the centre of Manchester.
They decided in favour of a New Year’s Eve wedding against a summer wedding, owing to the UK’s decidedly temperamental weather!
Adam works for Ultimate Performance, a group of personal trainers. He’s not a PT himself, though, but works in business development.
Tina and Adam were together for eight years before getting married. They met by chance in a coffee shop in Manchester when Tina’s daughter Scarlett went up to Adam at random to say hello!
Since then, then their relationship has gone from strength to strength.
In 2014, the couple had their first child, a son called Beau, and Adam is also step-dad to Tina’s daughter Scarlett.

While Tina isn’t one for revealing details of he relationships online, she recently took to Instagram to gush about her partner.
On Instagram, she shared some private WhatsApp messages to her husband Adam Crofts, along with the caption “he’s my everything.”
In the messages, her husband Adam tells Tina, “Ur amazing.” Tina follows that by admitting:
“You’re more amazing, and you inspire me to be better bolder and braver. One day I’ll be as bad ass as you, but thank you for being my mentor without even knowing you are.”

But Adam Croft isn’t Tina’s first long-term partner. In fact, she was in a relationship with her co-star Ryan Thomas between 2003 and 2009.
While the couple never got married in real life, Tina and Ryan did experience an on-screen wedding when their characters attempted to tie the knot – though Ryan’s Jason did gilt Tina’s Sarah at the altar!
In 2008, Tina took some time off from Corrie to have her first child with Ryan, and she gave birth to her daughter Scarlett in October 2008.
At the time, Tina said: “We’ll be together forever, fingers crossed. I can’t see myself with anyone else.”

However, sadly, the birth of their daughter was the beginning of the end for Ryan and Tina’s relationship.
In a shocking turn of events, Ryan broke up with Tina just after the birth of daughter Scarlett. Tina hasn’t said too much about the details of their split, but she did reveal in one interview that it came as a huge shock.
She said: “He said I didn’t do it for him anymore. Those were his words. I was absolutely devastated. He said he didn’t want the responsibility of a relationship with me.”
Now, the two carefully co-parent their daughter Scarlett, which has its ups and downs. She explained: “It’s taken a lot of years and a lot of biting my tongue. Seriously, though, it’s mainly down to Adam and Ryan.”
Bust Up with Ryan?
From the sounds of things, though, things aren’t exactly grand between Tina and her ex Ryan.
Last month, Ryan accused Tina of causing damage to her ex’s Range Rover by hitting a wing mirror with a baseball bat.
According to some sources, Ryan and Tina got into an argument in February and have not been talking since.
Though Ryan was said to be majorly angry at the time, he certainly has more pressing matters to attend to at the moment.

This month, his girlfriend – The Only Way Is Essex’s Lucy Mecklenberg – gave birth to their second child together.
The couple already has a two-year-old son together called Roman, but this will be their first daughter. Lucy announced the news on Instagram, posting a black-and-white of her new baby’s tiny hand, along with a heart emoji.
