Bodhi Jameson Rein Brown: Who is Bobby Brown’s Daughter?

Bobby Brown is one of America’s most famous rappers and singers.

He’s known as the frontman of R&B group New Edition, and also made the papers for his public relationship with singer Whitney Houston.

But how much do we know about his family life, and particularly his daughter Bodhi Jameson Rein Brown?

Well, here are all the facts.

Who is Bodhi Jameson Rein Brown?

Bodhi Jameson Rein Brown was born on July 9th 2015 at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Hospital. She is Bobby Brown’s sixth child, but only his second with his current wife Alicia Etheredge.

If you’re curious as to the meaning of her name: Bodhi is a Buddist concept of enlightenment. The name is becoming popular in celebrity circles – Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green also named their son Bodhi, and Carly Simon and James Taylor have a grandson with the name.

She is the younger sister of Bobby and Alicia’s first child, a son named Cassius.

After Bodhi Jameson Rein Brown, the couple also had another child, Hendrix Estelle Brown, who was born in 2016.

The birth of Bodhi Jameson Rein Brown came shortly after a massive heartbreak in the Brown family.

In January 2015, Bobby Brown’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in the bathtub at her home in Atlanta. This was just four days after she was in a serious car accident.

The 22-year-old was in a coma for six months but sadly died on July 26th 2015. It makes sense that Bobby would choose a spiritual name for his new baby girl Bodhi Jameson Rein Brown – some have suspected it’s a nod to his other daughter.

Bobby Brown’s Children

We know that Bobby has three children with his current wife Alicia Etheredge and that he lost his daughter Bobbi in 2015 – but does he have any more children?

The answer is yes. Bobby Brown has actually fathered seven children with four different women over 52 years.

His first child, Landon Brown, was born when Bobby was just 17 years old. His mother is Melika Williams.

Bobby Brown also had two children with Kim Ward: La’Princia and Bobby Brown Jr. Bobby actually became involved with Whitney Houston while Kim was pregnant.

The iconic R&B singer ended up having just one child with Whitney, the aforementioned Bobbi Kristina Brown.

Sadly, there’s more heartbreak in Bobby’s family.

In 2020, Bobby’s son Bobby Brown Jr. was found dead at his Los Angeles home, just five years after the death of Bobbi Kristina. The cause of death was an accidental overdose.

In a statement at the time, Bobby Brown said: “Please keep my family in your prayers at this time. Losing my son at this point in our lives has devastated my family. There are no words to explain the pain.”

Relationship Timeline

Bobby Brown’s most famous relationship has to be with singer Whitney Houston. But what actually happened between them?

The pair first met at the Soul Train Music Awards in 1989, where Bobby Brown won ‘Best R&B/Urban Contemporary Album of the Year – Male.’

Speaking of their introduction, Whitney said: “I and some friends of mine were sitting behind him. I was hugging them, we were laughing, and I kept hitting Bobby in the back of the head… I leaned over and said, ‘Bobby, I’m so sorry.’

And he turned around and looked at me like, ‘Yeah, well just don’t let it happen again.’ And I was like, ‘Oooooh, this guy doesn’t like me.’ Well, I always get curious when somebody doesn’t like me.”

Adrienne Bosh: Who Is Chris Bosh’s Wife?

It became clear that Bobby Brown did like Whitney, and he proposed to her soon after they started dating. Though Whitney turned down Bobby’s first proposal, they eventually wed on July 18th 1992.

Their daughter Bobbi was born in March 1993, and everything seemed to be going well for the pair. However, it wasn’t long after that the marriage broke down.

While they were married, Bobby was arrested for drugs, while Whitney entered rehab twice. However, they stayed together for much longer than the tabloids expected, eventually divorcing in 2007.

Sadly, Whitney Houston died just five years after. She was found unconscious in her bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on February 11th 2012. In a weird coincidence, her daughter Bobbi was found unconscious in similar circumstances three years later.
