The Little Rascals cast then and now: What are they up to?

The Little Rascals premiered over 20 years, on August 5, 1994 and is arguably one of the most iconic movies to grace the 90s.

I mean, where else could we get a perfect yearbook quote like “Dear Darla, I hate your stinking guts. You make me vomit. You’re scum between my toes! Love, Alfalfa”?

But what are the cast of The Little Rascals up to now?

Darla:

Who could we start with but the girl we love most (please don’t say my name, please don’t say my name) Darla!

Five-year-old, Brittany Ashton Holmes completely melted our hearts as Darla in The Little Rascals.

While Darla may have had dreams to make it big in life, actress Brittany Ashton  seemed to want a quieter life.

Brittany only continued acting until 1996, when she retired.

The last film she acted in was the 1996 TV movie Humanoids From the Deep.

Brittany has kept a super low profile, but did take on a small role for a 2014 television movie “We Hate Paul Revere”

She mainly focuses on her education, with her political science degree and stays off social media

These days if she’s not busy traveling the world, Brittany is living in L.A. with her husband.

Buckwheat:

Of course Buckweat star Ross Bagley got a lot of work in the early ‘90s, Look at how cute he was!

He was such an adorable kid and this helped him build a strong career in Showbiz as an adult.

You may also remember him as Nicky on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Fresh Prince wasn’t the only time he worked with Will Smith though, as they teamed up again for 1996’s Independence Day.

Aside from acting, he also works as a DJ in L.A.

Spanky:

Travis Tedford played Spanky, the president of the “He-Man Woman-Haters Club.”

A memorable character, it is no surprise Travis picked up a fair share of roles in the 90s.

The same year as Little Rascals came out, Travis Tedford was the first “advertising-spokeskid” for Welch’s.

He appeared in a few other projects in the ’90s, including “Slappy and the Stinkers,” “A Bug’s Life,” “Adventures in Odyssey,” and “The Amanda Show.”

However, like may of  The Little Rascals cast, acting jobs seem to have died down for Tedford as the 90s came to an end.

Though, he does have one film credit to his name after starring in the 2010 horror film “The Final.”

Like his co-star Brittany, Travis is now a retired child star.

His Instagram states he’s a “marketing pro”

Of his former career, he also jokingly states, “Didn’t develop drug addiction and as a result: Not famous.”

Butch:

That horrible neighbourhood bully!

Butch star Sam Saletta may not have done much more on-screen acting, but he sure has had a successful voice-acting career.

Alfalfa:

Of course we can’t talk about The Rascals without hearing all about Alfalfa, played by Bug Hall.

Alfalfa is arguably the most famous of the Rascals gang.

Hall was 9 years old when he played Alfalfa, and fans might remember him by the iconic hairstyle he sported, or that serenade to Darla.

He was one of the breakout stars of the film.

He went on to play Eddie Munster in “The Munsters’ Scary Little Christmas,” and also starred in “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” “The Stupids,” and many more.

He did make a surprise comeback to acting in the the 2020 teen comedy “This Is the Year.”

However, he has now retired from acting and leads a very different life to any of his co-stars.

According to social media, Hall is married with three daughters and has left acting behind to “embrace a life of poverty.” He now has a YouTube channel, a farm, and a “family monastery.”

Porky:

Porky was quite possibly the cutest little thing to ever grace our screens.

His little giggle and sweet friendship with Buckwheat added extra sweetness to The Little Rascals.

Zachary Marby stopped his showbiz career after The Little Rascals.

According to E! Online he now works as an accountant for American Airlines, hosts a podcast and works as news site editor.

Waldo:

Blake McIver Ewing’s spoilt rick kid character on The Little Rascals was one we all loved to hate. After the movie, Blake continued with his role on Full House, as Michelle’s friend, Derek.

He returned to the spotlight in 2010 and released his debut album titled, The Time Manipulator.

However, he quickly faded into the background after a bad tweet wasn’t received well.
