After abandoning Kim Scott and young Marshall Mathers, when he was 6 months old, the rapper’s father Bruce Marshall went on to have Eminem’s half Brother and Sarah with another woman.

How Sarah Mathers found out she was related to Slim Shady:
After Sarah discovered Eminem was her half-brother, both she and her father reached out.
Sarah had no idea she was the Hip-hop giant’s younger half sister, until 2005 when her father acknowledged the uncanny resemblance between her, her other brother, and Eminem.
That’s when he called up his great aunt, who had helped look after her father’s eldest son, before he split from his ex-wife, who told him that his name is Marshall Mathers, Eminem.
Sarah Mathers age was 23 at that time.
Reaching out in a letter:
In 2001, Sarah’s father published an open letter to his Eminem in a newspaper claiming his mother Debbie had kept the two apart.
“You think I dumped you and your mother and never came looking for you, you’re convinced I’m a drunk who never answered any of your letters. Well, I want you to read this and realise you’ve been fed lies all your life.”
He added he was not just getting in touch because of his son’s success.
“I want to make it plain that I’m not after any handout,” he said. I work hard, I have money. I don’t need or want your money. But the one ambition left in my life is to give you a hug and tell you I’ve always loved you.”
He closed by saying: “I’d get on a plane right now, this second, and go anywhere in the world if you’d meet with me. Please get in touch.”
Complicated relationships:
Things quickly turned complicated when they tried to reach out.
In fact, Eminem became very suspicious of his father’s sudden interest in him.
This is understandable seeing as he had just amassed a staggering amount of wealth.
However, both Sarah Mathers and her father stated that his father tried contacting Eminem for many years but failed.
They said they had failed to reach the rapper because of Eminem’s musical tours.
Mr Mathers further mentioned that he had no interest in Eminem’s fame or money.
He claimed he just wanted to know if his first son would let him in his life again.
Sarah mirrored this saying that that she too had no interest in his rap persona, and she wanted to meet her real brother instead of Slim Shady.
However, Eminem had other thoughts.
He furiously claimed that his father was trying to reach for him only after he had become famous.

Death of Marshall Bruce Mathers III:
Unfortunately, their father passed away due to a heart attack.
He died at his home in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 67, seemingly before he could ever reconnect with his son.
As for Sarah, she and her brother reportedly could spot Eminem during a tour, but he never came over to speak to them.
This allegedly broke Sarah Mathers’ heart, and she said that it was upsetting.
