Rachel McAdams’ partner Jamie Linden:

Jamie Linden has been Rachel McAdam’s partner since 2016 and the pair have two children together.

Jamie keeps a low profile, but we do know that he’s an American screenwriter who fans know for his work on films such as We Are Marshall and Dear John.

He also wrote and directed 10 Years starring Channing Tatum.

Jamie was born September 3, 1980 and is 41-years-old.

We don’t know much about his family life, apart from the fact he is now a father of two and married to The Notebook star Rachel McAdams.

He grew up in Winter ParkFlorida near Orlando, where he attended Lake Howell High School. After graduating from Florida State University in 2001, he ended up in Hollywood on a whim.

He and three friends had travelled there with tickets for game show The Price Is Right. When he got there he was called up to compete and won $5,000 and a Tuscan wine server cart, which he saw as a sign to stay, and the rest is history!

Jamie had a pretty successful career in Hollywood, working his way up from a director’s assistant to the successful screenwriter fans know him as today.

However, he shifted further into the spotlight in 2016, when he started dating Canadian actress Rachel McAdams.

But how did they meet?

Jamie Linden and Rachel McAdams’ relationship:

Both Rachel McAdams and Jamie Linden have kept their relationship extremely private.

In fact, they are so low key they have never even walked a red carpet together!

However, we are able to piece some things together about the famous couple.

It looks like things got serious pretty quickly for Rachel and Jamie Linden as they were reported to have attended a pal’s wedding together just a couple months after they started dating in 2016.

By August 2016 editors hit publish on photographs of the couple shopping for bedroom furniture in LA, so it looks like they could have been moving in together…

And soon after that reports speculate wedding bells as rumours of a secret marriage ceremony flew. But are they really married? This is still unclear.

Once again rumours circulated as the star sparked speculation that she might be pregnant in February 2018 when she skipped the premiere for her film Game Night.

Children:

Soon after the couple took the next step, with the couple’s first child, a son, was born in April 2018.

In August 2020, reports began to say McAdams is expecting the couple’s second child.

While Rachel McAdams and Jamie Linden never confirmed her first pregnancy or the birth of their son, she did open up about motherhood seven months later in an interview with The Sunday Times.

It seems she was more than ready to be a mom!

Rachel spilled all the details on how ready she was for the next step.

She said: “It’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, hands-down, [People say] your life is not your own any more, but I had 39 years of me, I was sick of me, I was so happy to put the focus on some other person. I waited a long time [for motherhood]. It’s just how it happened. And I didn’t want to do it before it was the right time.”

Rachel and Jamie have chosen not to share the names of their children.

Even though she is in the public eye, the actress doesn’t necessarily want that for her kids.

She said “I want to keep his life private, even if mine isn’t, but I’m having more fun being a mum than I’ve ever had. Everything about it is interesting and exciting and inspiring to me. Even the tough days — there’s something delightful about them.”

Family life:

Rachel McAdams shared a little insight into her day to day family life with Jamie Linden and her children in quarantine.

In 2020 she spoke at a virtual event “Heroes of Health: COVID-19 Stream-a-thon” and mentioned her family and how she was keeping busy.

“I have a very welcome distraction in my son, who is 2. That’s pretty much what I do all the time. He’s so entertaining. I thought, ‘Would I rather be alone in quarantine or with my family?’ There are days, sure, but I would be so bored without him around to make it so fun.”

Jamie Linden and Rachel McAdams also like to go outdoors with their family whenever possible.

She said: “We live in the country, so there’s a little farm down the road, we can go and look at the animals… We’ve been doing some planting, some okra. Well, I do the planting and he eats snacks, mostly.”
