Arguably the most Made in Chelsea of all the Made in Chelsea stars, Mark-Francis Vandelli is known for his endless style and incredible wealth.

The star is raking in thousands with his starring role in the reality show. However, he also has his parents to thank for his wealth – including his father, Marzio Vanelli.

But who exactly is Mark-Francis’ dad, Marzio Vandelli, and how did he make his money?

Who is Marzio Vandelli?

Mark-Francis Vandelli’s parents are Diane Boulting-Casserley and Marzio Vandelli. She was a Russian model, while his father Marzio Vandelli is a former Italian industrialist.

While Marzio Vandelli is from a wealthy Italian business family, it’s his mother who brings the outrageous wealth to the relationship. Socialite Diane was known for being Yves Saint Laurent’s muse in the 1970s and 1980s and comes from a millionaire Russian family.

His parents remain together after 35 years, which Mark-Francis attributes to their differing heritage: “different countries, different bank accounts,” he said.

Ultimately, it’s Marzio Vandelli’s knack for business that you can clearly see in the socialite and entrepreneur’s life.

Victoria Made in Chelsea: Getting To Know The Reality TV Starlet

Mark-Francis owns a successful jewellery business and was the editor of Insider magazine for a spell.

In 2011, Mark-Francis admitted that his move into reality had caused a bit of a rift with his parents. He explained:

“My mother told me that if I ever got involved in reality TV then that would be the end of our relationship. My father said the same.

So I really wanted to just do something for myself and kind of test how far it could go.”

How Much is Mark-Francis Worth?

Thanks to his parents’ wealth, Mark-Francis had a headstart towards his net worth. The star is now valued at £2 million.

He’s made his fortune from his jewellery atelier, Gripoix, in Paris, which also has an outlet on London’s posh Mount Street.

The 32-year-old also spent time writing columns for OK!, and used his writing skills for his own book. Titled Chic: Being Divinely Stylish In The Modern Age, the book explored fashion and glamour from Mark-Francis own unique perspective.

So, he’s certainly taken his father Marzio Vandelli’s entrepreneurial spirit to heart.

Now, the reality star is focused on his TV appearances and social media brand. Mark-Francis has 367,000 followers on Instagram, where he documents his world travels and social engagements.

This year, he’s also appeared on Celebrity Karaoke Club on ITV2. Speaking about series two of the show earlier this year, host Olivia Attwood called Mark-Francis the “dark horse” of the series. “He can actually sing as well,” she said.

“It was also just the fact that he even was there doing karaoke of all things with all the tack and everything because he’s so posh. But then it was like, what a performer – not expected at all.”

Made in Chelsea Series 22

Made in Chelsea was back for the 22nd series earlier this year. As usual, fan favourite Mark-Francis Vandelli returned, but the series also saw returning stars like Sophie Hermann.

Series 22 is mostly set to follow Ollie Locke and his husband Gareth. They announced at the end of series 21 that they would begin a surrogacy journey to have their own child.

Fans will also be itching to see if fiery couple Liv Bentley and Tristan Phipps manage to stay together. The pair had a rocky time recently, arguing over lockdown – and there’s more of the same in the new series.

There are also new romances blossoming. For example, things seem to be going well for Paris and Angus.

Recently, though, castmate Inga dropped a bombshell.

Speaking about cheating, Paris said: “I think personally, flirting is cheating for me. I don’t think there is any point where you can flirt with somebody and say it’s innocent.”

However, Inga then revealed that Angus had invited her out for a drink.

More recently, Robbie called Angus out on his behaviour. He said: “The thing is, Angus, you’re only having this conversation now because you got caught.”
