There are a fair few Love Island stars that have gone on to have kids- and Malin Andersson is one of them!

She recently gave birth to a baby girl, and fans were over the moon for her.

After Malin’s traumatic time with pregnancy, it’s great to see the former reality queen with a smile on her face.

Let’s catch up with the Love Island star.

Malin Andersson Baby

In February 2022, Malin Andersson welcomed her new daughter Xaya to the world.

A spokesperson for Malin said:

“We are super excited to share that Malin gave birth to a healthy baby girl last Friday 28th January on her due date.

She and her partner are completely in love and are taking this time as a family to enjoy the baby bubble but she can’t wait to share more with everyone soon.”

But unfortunately, Malin and her boyfriend Jared ended up splitting just two weeks after their daughter was born.

Announcing their breakup last month, the reality star said she was still trying to ‘process it all’ and assured their baby comes first, as the couple are committed to co-parenting.

Now, Malin has said the split ‘saved’ them ‘in a weird way,’ after she realised how much she had been relying on Jared.

The two had been friends for about five years before they got together. They went public with their relationship in July 2021.

Malin said:

“I was relying on him so much that I feel like he lost himself a bit. It was best for both of us to take some months apart, so that’s what we did.

We’re now co-parenting Xaya 50/50 and getting on a lot better having our situation like this at the moment…

I can definitely see us getting back together at some point in the future when all the baby chaos has finally calmed.”

Baby Consy

The birth of her new daughter is bittersweet for Malin, who lost her firstborn three years ago.

The star gave birth to baby Consy in 2019, but she passed away after being born seven weeks premature.

Chloe Love Island: How is she adjusting to life outside the villa?

Looking back on Xaya’s arrival, Malin opened up about how she was “completely triggered by the traumatic memories” of her first ordeal.

Malin was rushed in for an emergency C-section during her birth with Xaya, and doctors then warned her about what could happen.

“They gave Jared and me a letter that we had to sign regarding what would happen if I died during labour, which caused me to start panicking and hyperventilating.

I was in the exact same hospital – in the exact same room – that I’d given birth to Consy in. I lay there, terrified on the operating table, being completely triggered by the traumatic memories”.

Love Island

Malin Andersson shot to fame back in 2015 when she appeared in the second series of Love Island.

The make-up artist’s infamous relationship with fellow contestant Terry Walsh skyrocketed Malin’s status- especially when she returned to the show for an explosive row!

But it turns out the whole thing was set up.

Malin admitted that she didn’t actually want to go back on the show to see Terry, and the scene was faked by producers.

“This is why reality TV is not reality. It’s absolutely bull, it’s bulls***. It’s fake.”

When asked if the show was produced, the former contestant said:

Yeah, and I got asked to come back in to confront him. I didn’t really want to, I was like I couldn’t be bothered. And I did a bit of acting… I couldn’t [actually] give a s*** about him.”
