Dinah Mattingly was just a regular US citizen before she rose to fame after marrying former basketball player and coach Larry Bird.

Dinah was born in 1954 in the US and is 67 years old.
She was on November 16, making her star sign Scorpio.
Born and bred in the US, Dinah completed her high school education at Springs Valley High School in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Later, she went to Indiana State University for further education where she met her (now) famous husband Larry.

Unfortunately, his team lost the championship but he was awarded the player of the year award for his incredible performance.
While he was playing for Sycamores, Larry got many offers but he declined all those offers.
After his time was up playing for Sycamores he was drafted by Boston Celtics for an around 3.25 million.
Also, he won 3 championships with his team, and Bird has got three straight league MVPs, Two NBA Finals MVPs, NBA Rookie of the Year. Later, he retired from NBA in the year 1992 after suffering from back injuries.
Dinah Mattingly’s Son Arrested:
Since Larry’s career took off, it has not all been smooth sailing for the family.
Dinah Mattingly and Larry Bird’s son, Conner was shockingly charged and accused of the murder of his ex girlfriend at the age of 22.
He was taken under custody as he was charged with her death after an incident that took place at Indiana University.
Evidence suggests Conner had tried to hit his then-girlfriend with his car.
At that time, he had marijuana possession and other criminal mischief was also used as evidence for arresting him.
During his trial, he pleaded guilty to some of the charges, which meant he had his sentence shortened, and many charges ultimately dropped.
However, not too long after he ended up getting out of jail.
His parents’ Larry and Dinah and sister Mariah all refused to speak about the case.
Hurtful rumours:
Families all have their drama and we can see the Bird family is no exception.
Sadly the family is no stranger to hurtful rumours, often spread about those in the public eye.
In 2014, it was alleged by bustedcoverage.com that Larry was having an affair with a mystery woman, who was seen with her hand on his knee at a basketball game.
However, we now know woman in question is actually his adopted daughter Mariah Bird.
How ridiculous!
Another hurtful rumour was that Larry may have an illegitimate daughter that he produced with a mystery woman at an unspecified date.
According to the allegation made on bossip.com, a certain informant of the site was in a nightclub in Miami at the time when he saw an unidentified woman talking to Celtics players, at which point one of the present individuals said that she is Larry’s illegitimate child.
Due to the complete lack of any credible evidence regarding the matter, the rumour was soon discarded.
