Ben Shapiro:

Ben Shapiro has made a career of sparking debates for better or for worse.

With statements like “One American soldier is worth far more than an Afghan civilian” and “Western civilization is superior to other civilizations” he is known to stir up furious arguments for all the wrong reasons.

Mr Shapiro is an outspoken opponent of political correctness and has previously argued that homosexuality should not have been removed as a mental illness from the DSM.

He said this is because homosexuals have higher rates of depression than heterosexuals and do not reproduce.

Ben Shapiro’s opinions are so loud, he created his own platform for them.

The political commentator hosts his own daily political podcast and live radio show.

He named the podcast The Ben Shapiro Show and has written a total of eleven books.

In spite of all the chaos sparked over the course of his career, Ben still managed to make is down the aisle.

So who on earth is Ben Shapiro’s wife?

Mor Shapiro:

Mor Shapiro (born Mor Toledaro), was born in 1988 in Herzliya, Israel, to a Jewish Moroccan family.

She moved to Sacramento, California, at the age of 12.

She is reportedly a family medicine doctor practicing in Woodland Hills, California.

The couple are fairly private. However, Ben sometimes opens up about his family in his columns.

It seems Mor is a very dutiful wife and was always willing to make sacrifices for Ben right from the beginning.

In a piece for Newsweek magazine, Ben wrote: “Early in our marriage, my wife was still in college at UCLA, and I was interested in taking a job in New York; she dutifully offered to transfer to a college across the country.

“When she applied to medical school across the country; I offered to move my job.”

How Ben Shapiro met his wife Mor:

Going down a very traditional route, it looks like Ben and Mor are a match made couple.

The couple were actually introduced to each other by his younger sister Abigail Shapiro.

Little is known about their relationship before marriage or how long they dated for.

However, it seems they married fast both being from traditional Jewish backgrounds.

Ben and Mor became engaged in 2007 and wasted no time in tying the knot in 2008.

Marriage:

Ben and Mor got married in 2008 in a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony in Acre, Israel.

Ben was quick to update his readers that he is no longer a single man, letting them know in a blog post the following week.

He even seemed to have a sensitive side!

Mr Shapiro wrote: “I got married last week… I am 24 years old. My wife is 20.

“Together we plan, with the help of God, on having healthy, happy, freedom-loving children who will grow up with the security provided by the armed guard.”

Children:

Ben and Mor waited a few years after marriage before growing their family.

The couple now have three children, two daughters and a son.

They keep their children’s lives fairly private. However, we do know their daughter, Leeya Eliana Shapiro was born in 2014 and their son was born in 2016.

His youngest child was born in March 2020, which he announced in a tweet.

He wrote: “Sorry for the lack of a podcast/radio show today. The Shapiro family had more pressing matters: the addition of a beautiful baby girl! This makes Baby Shapiro #3. We are so grateful to God, and so thankful she will grow up in the freest, greatest country in the world!”

He shared the post to Instagram, admitting he had slightly relaxed his fiercely private family life to share the moment of joy.

He captioned the post: “I don’t post pics of my family to social media because of the nature of my work, but I just couldn’t help sharing the news.

“So excited for this new chapter and for the new addition to my family!”

A difficult journey:

It seems Ben and Mor may have had difficulties along the way in their journey to becoming parents.

Furthermore, their eldest daughter Leeya has not always been in good health.

Ben wrote a letter to his firstborn saying: “After Mommy and Daddy prayed very hard to Hashem to give them a healthy little baby, God answered them: Eliana.

“So your first name is about your relationship with God, and your middle name is about how thankful we are for you.”

In 2015, Leeya had open heart surgery for a hole in her heart.

Ben was very public about this in one of his Daily Wire comment pieces, while making a case for the importance of covering your own health insurance.

Ben said: “I watched my baby sedated for an operation, crying for her mommy, and I thought about how lucky we were that we were covered by our health insurance.

“I agree with Kimmel that poverty should not be a barrier to care, particularly for children. So do all sentient human beings.”
