Ben Robinson: What Is The Below Deck Star Doing Now?

If you’ve ever seen Below Deck or its spin-off Below Deck: Mediterranean, you’ll know who Ben Robinson is. The no-nonsense yacht chef, he’s a firm fan favourite on the show and definitely one of the best cast members.

However, Ben isn’t on the show anymore. After starring in season four of Below Deck: Mediterranean, he’s taken a break from the Below Deck series.

So what is the chef up to now? Let’s find out everything there is to know about Ben Robinson.

What is Ben Robinson Doing Now?

Since leaving the cast of Below Deck, Ben Robinson hasn’t just spent his time relaxing (though we’re sure that as a chef on a superyacht, sailing around the Caribbean, there is plenty of that, too).

Ben still works as a yacht chef today, and at the moment he’s gearing up for a big adventure. Ben Robinson will be the chef on Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady, where he’ll be hosting a luxurious dining experience for Below Deck fans.

The huge cruise liner will set off on a four-night Caribbean adventure from Miami, and Ben will be there to entertain fans.

However, he hasn’t totally given up on Below Deck. He also appears on Below Deck: Galley Talk, a spin-off talk show series that airs after the main Below Deck episodes.

Ben Robinson hosts the show alongside Kate Chastain, who was chief stew on Below Deck for seasons two to seven.

When he’s not hanging out with his Below Deck co-stars, he’s also mixing with celebrities. One picture on his Instagram from October 2019 shows Ben with none other than actor Seth Rogen.

It turns out, Ben Robinson hosted a cooking demonstration at Seth’s Hilarity for Charity fundraiser. The charity helps families impacted by Alzheimer’s.

In the caption, Ben wrote: “We talked about foods rich in brain-boosting Omega3’s; I demo’d a salmon sashimi with avocado purée, flaxseed chip, and salmon roe.

Awesome night, wonderful people, all raising awareness that #alzheimers prevention starts when you’re young”

Who Is He Dating?

Ben Robinson is also well-known for having a relationship with his Below Deck co-star Emily Warburton-Adams. She was the 2nd Stewardess on season four of Below Deck, and the two went on a few dates during the season.

Their relationship continued off-deck – they lived together in Fort Lauderdale for a year after the season ended. Fans were clearly rooting for them, but Ben finally revealed on the After Deck With Kate Chastain podcast in 2017 that they had sadly broken up.

However, 40-year-old Ben Robinson found love again.

Sandra Bullock’s daughter: Who is little Laila Bullock?

In May 2020, Ben revealed his new love – 26-year-old Estonian Kiara Cabral. We don’t know yet what she does, but her Instagram makes it clear that she does love her adorable pet, a shih tzu called Moofy.

Since early 2020, the two have posted more cute pictures together, so things seem to be pretty serious.

Kiara has also had to address the age difference between herself and Ben, saying: “I’m 26 years old and he is 39. That was joke because I am getting a lot of hate for looking young… I am with ben because I love him and that is it.”

Who Was the Best Below Deck Chef?

But now it’s time to answer the real question: who was the best Below Deck chef from all the seasons?

Well, Ben Robinson was definitely a fan favourite, a quirky, cheery Brit with the ability to make some mind-blowing food. However, other Below Deck chefs are also up there with the best.

We also loved Anastasia Surmava, who now appears on Below Deck: Galley Talk. Despite having her bad days, she wowed guests and staff and built a loyal fanbase. However, after a couple of iffy charters, she was booted off.

Callum Izzard: The Reality Star’s Dating History

Another favourite was Hindrigo Lorran, known as Kiko. He had an infectious energy and happiness that meant fans and crew members were quick to warm to him on season five of Below Deck.

But, he also proved that even the most laid back of people can have their nightmare days. After a truly terrible Vegas-themed dinner, it was his turn to leave the ship.

The current Below Deck chef Rachel Hargrove has also managed to win over fans while producing some insanely good food. But how long will she last?
