It’s no secret that Amal Clooney favours one makeup brand in particular. Celeb makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury has revealed that Amal is just one of her high-profile beauty clients.

The 43-year-old lawyer keeps her skin looking fresh by using a face primer and a peptide-rich face moisturiser.

Though she’s no stranger to no makeup, Amal Clooney employed Charlotte Tilbury’s skill for her wedding makeup.

Amal Alamuddin married George Clooney married in Italy in September 2014 at the luxurious Aman Canal Grande resort in Venice. According to some, the affair reportedly cost up to £3 million.

For her makeup, Charlotte Tilbury went with a simple, glowy look. The artist created a soft cat-eye paired with a soft rose lip colour.

Amal and George: Becoming Parents

According to George himself, the couple decided just a year after their star-studded wedding that they wanted to be parents.

He revealed that they were on a walk when they made the life-changing decision to have kids. George explained:

“(Amal) said, ‘So, we’re awfully lucky in life,’ and I said, ‘Yeah, we are, and we’re lucky we found each other.’ And she said, ‘It seems like that luck should be shared with some other folks.’

I don’t think either of us had made a decision. And then I just said, ‘Well, I mean, if you’re in.'”

However, George and Amal got a bit more than they were expecting. Amal ended up giving birth to twins in June 2017, one boy and one girl, called Alexander and Ella.

Amal returned to her work in September 2017, just a few months after giving birth.

Recently, the couple have sparked criticism after revealing that they employ a part-time nanny for the care of the twins.

George said that though they could have a full-time nanny, they don’t as they both prefer to be involved. He explained:

“We have a nanny four days a week and the rest of the time it’s just us.

And during lockdown it was just us – for a full year! I felt like my mother in 1964, doing dishes and six loads of laundry a day.”

Many fans took to Twitter to criticise the couple, stating that many other parents had to care for their children full-time over lockdown.

George Clooney’s First Marriage

It might surprise you to learn that this isn’t actually George Clooney’s first marriage. No, the handsome actor has been married once before, though it was a long time before he met Amal.

George Clooney married Talia Balsam in 1989 in Las Vegas. At the time, George was still trying to break into Hollywood.

However, just three years later, the pair decided to divorce. In a cruel twist, their divorce actually lasted longer than their marriage – 25 months.

In 1996, George admitted the reason that their marriage didn’t work. He revealed:

“I probably, definitely, wasn’t someone who should have been married at that point – I just don’t feel like I gave Talia a fair shot. I was responsible for the failure of that marriage.”
