Alex Bourne and his famous wife Rachel Stevens have been going from strength to strength over the years.

They started dating at just twelve years old, and they’re now busy raising their daughters Amelie and Millie.

Alex Bourne has been by Rachel’s side for most of her career.

The pair were dating throughout their teens, but split when Rachel hit the big time with S Club 7 in 1999. Rachel was just 19 at the time.

They eventually rekindled their romance after Rachel’s engagement to Jeremy Edwards fell through.

Speaking on ITV’s Loose Women, the former singer opened up about her relationship with Alex.

“We were boyfriend and girlfriend when we were 12. We were boyfriend and girlfriend on and off during our teens until I got into the band, and he went off and did his stuff.

Then we bumped into each other randomly in our late twenties, and at that point, I’d sworn off men, but it was really lovely to see him.

But I was going off to LA at the time, so no, but then we reconnected. We obviously had all of that history and now, the rest is history.”

In a statement released by the couple, it seemed that Amelie was over the moon to have a friend to play with!

“I got into S Club at a time when I was going through a lot of emotional turmoil. My family had all broken apart, we’d lost our home, I was kind of just on my own quite a lot and just with my friends and working and kind of internalised all of those things.

I went into the band and it was so exciting and a total escape from all of that stuff, but at the same time it allowed me to push down all of the stuff even more.”
