Adele’s no stranger to no makeup. Paparazzi have been catching her without it since the very start of her career.
She was just 18 when she graduated from the prestigious BRIT School in London, counting Jessie J and Leona Lewis among her classmates.
Just a few months later, she signed to XL Recordings – an incredible feat for someone in their teens! In some of her early paparazzi pictures, you can tell that Adele isn’t like other musicians, as she’s not scared to appear without makeup.

But it’s not just the paparazzi who catch Adele with no makeup. No – sometimes she even posts photos of herself with no makeup on her own Instagram account.
This must be nerve-wracking for an artist as big as Adele, as she has almost 50 million followers who will all see her bare-faced look!
However, she clearly doesn’t mind, and even posts no makeup pictures celebrating huge occasions in her life. The beautiful black-and-white photo below was posted to commemorate her 33rd birthday.
She posted it along with the caption “Thirty Free.”

She’s also not scared to show off her sometimes-imperfect skin on social media. This picture, posted in 2019, is a little less than flattering as it shows Adele’s skin is just everybody else’s – with occasional acne!
However, in a recent YouTube video with mega MUA NikkieTutorials, Adele did spill some secrets about her no-makeup-makeup-routine.
She said: “If I have my hair out natural it’s quite wavy and curly. So I’ll do that. I’ll literally just put on Charlotte Tilbury [Hollywood Flawless Filter], that glowy thing and then I put a really nice bronze highlight pretty much all over my face. I look like I just walked off the beach.”
So, it seems that now, even when she wants to keep it casual, she still puts some effort into her appearance.

Her Transformation
Adele made headlines in May 2020 when she revealed a huge weight loss transformation. She didn’t comment on her weight loss journey until some big interviews in late 2021 as she was promoting her latest album, 30.
She explained that she had managed to lose so much weight through a regular exercise routine.
“So I do my weights in the morning, then I normally hike or I box in the afternoon, and then I go and do my cardio at night.
No intermittent fasting. Nothing. If anything I eat more than I used to because I work out so hard.”
Since those interviews, Adele has made more public appearances. On her aforementioned feature on NikkieTutorials’ YouTube channel, Adele once again appeared with no makeup.
Compared to her first no-makeup paparazzi pictures, she certainly looks like a completely different person.

Adele revealed in the video: “I love a brow. But also if I don’t dye my brows — like these are dyed — I look like Voldemort.”
