Another three people were murdered in her home that night and a long rope that was tied around each of their necks connected them all together when the police arrived at the scene.

Johnny Lewis

Lewis had been a rising actor, but was found dead in the driveway of a villa he was renting. He had either jumped or fallen to his death, with fatal injuries to his skull. The villa's owner had been found strangled and beaten to death. The actor's history of drug abuse was first believed to have played a part in the two deaths, but the autopsy didn't reveal any information of intoxication.

Gary Coleman

His critical condition caused his ex-wife to pull his life support and he passed away later the same day. Conspiracy theories started to circulate regarding the death and whether or not his ex-wife Shannon Price had been the one to push him down the stairs. The police quickly ruled out this theory.

Princess Diana

Her death shook the world and it came as a complete surprise. On the 31st of August 1997, in the early hours of the morning, the news broke that Princess Diana has passed away. The car she was being driven in had crashed, killing her, Dodi Fayed and Henri Paul. Her final words to the firefighter at the scene were "My God, what has happened?".

Brandon Lee's appearance in the cult movie "The Crow" should have been a continuation of an amazing career, but it was cut short when he was accidentally shot on set and unable to be saved during surgery. During the autopsy, it was discovered that a .44-caliber bullet had potentially torn through his abdomen before lodging in his spine. The discovery began huge questions about the use of weapons on movie sets.

Prince's body was discovered in an elevator at his home, and the autopsy stated the cause of death as an accidental overdose. The musician had consumed a lethal amount of painkillers, believed to be taken following Prince's hip surgery previously. While 70 micrograms of the drug would certainly be fatal, Prince was found with 450 micrograms in his liver.

Michael Jackson

Murray was then convicted of involuntary manslaughter over Jackson's death, due to the fact that a high amount of serious prescription drugs were found in his system, and that it was suggested only the drugs could have been responsible for his death.

The star of Fast and Furious's death was particularly cruel when it was discovered he died in a car crash. He was a passenger in a Porsche Carrera GT was the driver lost control, resulting in the car crashing and bursting into flame. Paul Walker's autopsy revealed that the actor had tried to defend himself by shielding his head and face from the impact of the crash. His official cause of death was trauma and burn injuries. His jaw, collarbone and pelvis was also broken, as well as Walker's body being so burnt it was unsuitable for organ donation.

Brittany Murphy

Brittany tragically died at age 32, and initially her cause of death was believed to be pneumonia. Apparently her body had been in a weakened immune state and unable to fight off the infection. However, years after her death, her father called for an investigation to be conducted, and it was discovered that there was a presence of heavy metals, implying poison.

The autopsy officially confirmed it was suicide, as well as antidepressants in his system. The autopsy also revealed that Williams didn't, in fact, have Parkinson's, but Lewy Body Disease - a condition easily confused with Parkinson's.

Cory Monteith

The icon Audrey Hepburn sadly passed away in the January of 1993 at her home in Tolochenaz, near Switzerland. Just two months before she underwent surgery after being diagnosed with colon cancer. The cancer had grown slowly over the years and her first symptom was abdominal pain.

James Dean

James Dean was pronounced dead on the 30th of September in 1955. He was travelling on Route 466 and another driver - who was the one at fault - crashed into him. Whilst the other driver walked away with just some minor injuries, James Dean suffered from a broken neck which was the cause of death during the crash.

In the summer of 1977 he was discovered unconscious in his Graceland mansion by his girlfriend Ginger Alden and was rushed immediately to hospital. She was submerged in the bathtub but it took around a month for the coroner's office to report her official cause of death: drowning and the "effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use".

Alongside this, there was a high concentration of heroin that was found in his system. It was suspected he had been dead for a few days before his body was found.

Her team had taken a trip to the Bahamas to shoot a music video, after wrapping early they decided to head back to Florida as soon as they could. Due to this, they flew back in a different plane than the one they arrived on with all their equipment. The flight home was carrying too much weight, which caused the crash just as they were taking off. Everyone on board passed away.

Only five days later did the Ventura County Sheriff's Department announced that they recovered her body after an extensive effort.

He became increasingly involved in the East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry, which led to him being shot four times in Las Vegas. The shooter still to this day has never been identified and he died in hospital six days after the drive by shooting.

Jonathan Brandis

Lisa Nicola Lopes, alternatively known as 'Left Eye' which was her stage name, was a member of TLC the R&B girl band. In 2002 she was driving her car and had to swerve to avoid hitting a truck. As a consequence of this the vehicle rolled over and Lisa Lopes died almost instantly. She has a fracture on the base of the cranium. As she was filming a documentary at the time, the accident was recorded.

Peaches Geldof

It was the 7th of April in 2014 when Peaches was found dead in her home in Kent. At the scene of the death the police seized drug paraphernalia. The coroner conducted the autopsy and announced that the cause of death was opioid intoxication and that it was a drug related death.

Anthony Bourdain

In June 2018 he was in Strasbourg working on an episode of Parts Unknown. He missed dinner and breakfast when his friend  Éric Ripert began coming concerned for his wellbeing. He went to his room and found him hanging there. Apparently, the suicide was an impulsive act.

Selena Quintanilla

Selena Quintanilla, widely known as the Queen of Tejano, was responsible for expanding the US audience for Latin music. Sadly, she was murdered when she was just 23 years old. She was shot by Yolanda Saldivar who was her friend and her former manager, she passed away just 90 minutes afterwards.

Sadly, on the 20th July 2017 his battle with depression won and he was found hanged in his home in California. Multiple publications have said him to be one of the greatest rock vocalists of this generation.

Luke Perry

Without prior medical issues, he suffered from an ischemic stroke on the 27th February 2019. Following a second stroke his family decided that it was time to remove him from his life support on the 4th of March.

He was only 41 years old when he passed away in Chicago. Louis Vuitton made the decision to dedicate all their windows worldwide to him with the words "Virgil was here".

Sarah Harding

Sarah Harding was one of the five members of British girl band Girls Aloud. In 2020 she announced that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. It wasn't long before it began to spread to other parts of her body. On the 5th of September 2021 she passed away with complications from breast cancer.

Sonny Bono

Sonny Bono was the ex-husband of Cher. His death was publicised because of the freak tragedy of the accident. He was skiing in Lake Tahoe when he skied off trail and into a tree which killed him. Richey Edwards car was found - he had been living in it days prior to his death. It was then found that he jumped off Severn Bridge in an act of suicide. The bridge was already a known suicide site.
