Sara Davies was appointed as a new Dragon on BBC’s Dragon’s Den in 2019, and since then she’s made some impressive business decisions.

She was already the creator of a successful business, Crafter’s Companion, with a turnover of almost £25 million. In her first series on the business show, she invested in nine companies, raking in even more profits.

But how much money does the entrepreneur actually have? What is Sara Davies’ net worth?

In total, Sara Davies’ net worth is estimated to be in the region of £37 million. This is mostly down to the success of her business Crafter’s Companion.

She started the business at university, and it grew from a startup to a million-pound business in just ten years.

Crafter’s Companion started with one product, The Enveloper, which can be used to make bespoke envelopes for cards. Now, the company sells a wide range of crafting tools.

The brand has developed from a one-person job to a huge, global company. Sara now employs 200 people and has offices in the UK and California.

Sara Davies didn’t come from a wealthy background, though. The northern girl was born in County Durham, and demonstrated a flair for business in university, heading to the University of York to study business.

Who Is She Married To?

Sara Davies has been married to her husband Simon since September 2007. The couple actually met when they were just teens.

According to Sara, when the two first got together their relationship caused some controversy. At the time, Sara was just 15, while Simon was 19.

She explained: “It was quite the scandal at the time, I can tell you! He was the star of our local cricket team and I remember him coming over and asking for my number.

He was my first boyfriend and I was his first girlfriend.”

Now happily married for 14 years, the pair also have two children: Oliver, six, and Charlie, three.

However, the pair have differing opinions when it comes to raising their children with their immense wealth. Sara admitted that while she wants to give their children the same experience she had growing up, Simon disagrees. “My husband Simon wants to give the kids the things we could not have,” she said.

Because of that, the boys are stuck earning their own money for a little while. The pair help out at Sara’s sister’s shop, and Sara admitted that they “can negotiate much better than I can.”

Strictly Come Dancing

This year, Sara Davies joined the nineteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, paired with expert dancer Aljaz Skorjanec.

Speaking when the news was revealed, Sara said: “I’m really nervous because so far the producers keep asking me if I can dance, Truth be told – I haven’t got a clue! I’ve not danced since I did ballet lessons when I was little.

The business world has taught me that tenacity, drive and determination deliver results, I hope that I can bring that to the dance floor.”

She has said that her dance partner has become fully involved in her life, even helping out with the school run for her sons. Sara said:

“After training he comes and does the school run with me, which the kids think is amazing, and the teachers think is even more amazing!

The kids think it’s the coolest thing in the world. We come home and he spoils them rotten. My eldest is really into his football cards so he’s been buying those for him.”

Aljaz admitted that he’s happy to help out Sara and her family, saying: “Sara is obviously this incredible mum and wife, she’s not going to be at home as much because of the training, so I am fully aware that her whole family is part of the show.”

So far, Sara has proved that her childhood ballet lessons do come in handy. After scoring the lowest points in the first episode, she came back with an impressive 34 points in week two.

Ranked by average points so far, Sara and Aljaz are sitting pretty at seventh out of the original 15 couples.
