He’s become a hugely popular face on TV over the years, and now Ben Fogle has also branched out into writing and broadcasting too.

With so many accolades under his belt, it’s not hard to see how Ben Fogle has earned his fortunes- but how much money does the TV personality actually have?

Let’s get the lowdown…

Ben Fogle Net Worth

Back in 2014, it was estimated that Ben Fogle had a net worth of £2.6 million.

While his current net worth isn’t publicly known, it’s expected to be MUCH higher now.

He’s scooped over £1 million thanks to his six books, and he’s worked with a number of brands including magazine The Week Junior.

Ben Fogle shot to fame after he became one of the unlikely reality stars of Castaway 2000; the BBC show which followed a group of people marooned on the Scottish island of Taransay for a year.

After this, the star was in high demand.

He’s worked as a presenter for a huge number of shows over the years, including Crufts, One Man and His Dog, Countryfile, Country Tracks, Extreme Dreams With Ben Fogle, Animal Park, Wild on the West Coast, Wild in Africa, and Ben Fogle’s Escape in Time and New Lives in the Wild.

It’s therefore no great surprise that the star has worked across BBC, ITV, Channel 5, Sky, Discovery and National Geographic during his stellar career, and he’s continuing to branch out with his own wildlife and adventure shows- as well as a few sports missions too!

Sporting Chances

The adventurer has managed to impress his fans thanks to numerous sporting achievements- including his infamous Atlantic Rowing Race.

Ben had dreams of taking on the race for years. But it was only his meeting with Olympic rower James Cracknell that made it possible.

Speaking with the Daily Mail, James said:

“Actually, the audacity of it was what impressed me about Ben. ‘He came up to me at a party and said: “Hi, would you like to row the Atlantic with me?”

‘Do you row?’, I asked him — and he said: ‘Er, no, but that’s where you come in.’ I thought he had balls to do that.”

He and James made a crossing time of 49 days, 19 hours, 8 minutes, which featured in the pair’s BBC series Hell and High Water.

For most, this achievement would have been enough. But the boys immediately set another race in their sights.

Ben and new buddy James decided to take on yet another rowing race- this time to the South Pole.

And it seemed that the pair were much more confident this time around. Not only did they lead the way to the South Pole throughout the contest, but they also finished in just 18 days, 5 hours and 10 minutes. Impressive stuff!

Royal Connections

Ben Fogle is well known for his connections to the Royal Family- and he even went on safari with Will and Harry back in 2011!

It’s thought that their mutual love of wildlife brought them together, and they’ve often been spotted on days out in the countryside.

Ben Fogle described Prince William as “very grounded — which is extraordinary for someone in his position. And he’ll be a modern Dad — he’ll have to do his juggling.”

And Ben Fogle has been equally complimentary to Harry, and gave his “warmest wishes” to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after he missed their royal wedding while climbing Everest.

Speaking to Hello! Magazine after successfully reaching the top of the mountain, the star joked:

“Even up Everest I’ll probably hear the cheers of the crowds!”.

Not bad work for a former reality TV star…
