Sam Heughan is a seriously hot commodity right now and we just have one thing on our minds to ask Sam Heughan: Wife? Girlfriend? Or Single?
Rising to fame on Outlander, has gone from strength to strength, playing Jamie Fraser in the time travel drama and has even progressed to films such as The Spy Who Dumped Me.
His success even has people talking about whether he could follow in Daniel Craig’s footsteps to play the new James Bond.
But the question on everyone’s lips, what is his relationship status?

Is He Single?
Whilst, he seems to have no trouble finding romance on screen, it seems that he is lacking romance behind the scenes. And he blames his busy career.
He said:
“I would like to emulate some of Jamie’s qualities. He’s very loyal and quite stubborn.
“The love that Jamie has for Claire—it would be amazing to find something like that myself.”
Whilst Sam is open to a bit of romance, he blames his busy schedule for not being as successful in the dating world.
He explains:
“Whilst, he seems to have no trouble finding romance on screen, it seems that he is lacking romance behind the scenes. And he blames his busy career.”

What About Past Girlfriends?
Sam has kept his love life very much in the dark and therefore little is known about his dating profile.
Previously, he has been linked to fellow actor Amy Shiels, who stars in the hit show Twin Peaks. The two are rumoured to have been friends for 10 years and fans have speculated about their possible involvement.
As we can see on Sam Heughan’s Instagram, the pair look pretty close.

After a fan tweeted that Sam and Amy would make a beautiful couple, the actress ‘liked’ the tweet causing rumours to circle.
However, the rumour ended there as neither party confirmed any involvement. With a longstanding friendship, could romance bloom for the couple in the future?
Back in 2017, Sam reportedly dated MacKensie Mauzy but again, their relationship was kept massively under lock and key.
There are several Instagram posts of the two together, which caused rumours to swirl even more. Then, in 2018, the couple were snapped looking very loved up.
However, after that, evidence of their relationship vanished.
What About His Co-Star Caitriona Balfe?
Despite their on screen romance, Caitriona Balfe is actually married to music producer Tony McGill.
Speaking of his co-star, Sam said:
“She is such a wonderful woman—intelligent and creative. More than anything, she’s a good friend.”

Could He Be The Next Bond?
In a poll, undertaken by the Radio Times, Sam Heughan came top to replace Daniel Craig as 007.
He beat out the likes of Idris Elba, Cillian Murphy and Richard Madden to be the fan favourite for the role.
Daniel Craig will play the agent for the last time in November 2020, when No Time To Die, is released. After that, fans will be eager to see who has been chosen as his replacement.
Sam has won several best actor awards and received nominations for both a Bafta and a Critic’s choice award. Him and Lewis Capaldi are seriously doing Scotland proud.
