Taylor was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania on December 13th 1989 – making her 30 years old.
Has Her Age Affected Her Relationships?
The singer/ songwriter is perhaps best known for her relationships and any die-hard fans usually spend hours trying to figure out which of her exes are inspiration for songs.
Her first notable relationship was with Joe Jonas in 2008. The Jonas Brothers singer reportedly broke up with her over a 27 second phone call! In response, Taylor wrote and performed the songs ‘Last Kiss’ and ‘Forever & Always’ from her album, Fearless, about him. Lucky for Taylor, it was named album of the year at the Grammys and Country Music Awards, respectively.
Taylor then went on to date her ‘You Belong With Me’ video co-star Lucas Till. Although the pop princess hasn’t written any songs about him – so it’s believed anyway – this video did cause some trouble for her.

At the MTV Video Awards, the video won ‘Best Female Video’, however, during her acceptance speech she was interrupted by Kanye West. This started a continued feud between between the pair with both of them digging at each other in some of their songs.
Taylor met her next beau, Taylor Lautner, on the set of the movie, Valentine’s Day. It’s believed that her single, ‘Back To December’ is about the Twilight actor.
Next up is John Mayer. The pair dated when Taylor was just 19 years old and he seems to have treated badly if we look at the lyrics from her song, ‘Dear John’:
‘Dear John, I see it all now that you’re gone/ Don’t you think I was too young to be messed with?/ The girl in the dress, cried the whole way home, I should’ve known’.
It’s never been confirmed as to whether or not the rumours about Taylor and Cory Monteith dated, but they both did turn red when Ellen DeGeneres brought it up on her show! It’s believed that the song ‘Mine’ from her Speak Now album was about the Glee star.
Who Else Has She Dated?
One of her most famous relationships was with actor Jake Gyllenhaal. ‘The Last Time’ is said to be about it:
‘experience I had with someone who was kind of this unreliable guy. You never know when he’s going to leave, you never know when he’s going to come back, but he always does come back’.
Sounds like a Hollywood actor if you ask me. Rumour has it that ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ is also about him.
Taylor went on to date another of her co-stars, Zac Efron, after they starred in the animated movie, The Lorax. Although, fans have yet to decipher which of her songs are about the actor.
Then came perhaps her best known relationship – Harry Styles. This coupling really seemed to break her heart and she threw countless shade at him. Her songs ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’; ‘Out Of The Woods’; and more are about the former One Direction singer.

Taylor went on to date Calvin Harris. The pair even wrote Rihanna’s hit single, ‘This Is What You Came For’ together, although she was originally credited as Nils Sjoberg. The relationship came to an ugly end thanks to Twitter.
The ‘Love Story’ singer dated Tom Hiddleston after Calvin. The actor was hideously mocked for wearing a ‘I <3 T. S.’ vest when the pair spent the 4th July weekend with friends.
Taylor went on to mock the top in her ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ video as well as hinting to her relationship with Calvin and even mocking her ‘old’ self.

Taylor is now dating British actor Joe Alwyn. Together the pair have decided to keep their personal life private, however, her BFF Ed Sheeran – who she collaborated with on her albums Reputation and Red – has reportedly given his seal of approval.
We got a rare insight into their relationship on her Netflix documentary, Miss Americana but she does hint at their status on her social media, like in this Instagram post:
