Was there anything quite like that shop before a new school year, shopping for bags, shoes, coats- the lot!

Your Mum always insisted on your having the warmest, most waterproof coat in the shop and a bag with a ZIP. The older I get, the more that practical side’s coming out, but it was absolutely nowhere to be seen back in the day…

We’re throwing it back to some of the most iconic, least practical and quite frankly tragic school bags from our school days. Which were you rocking?

The Classic Jane Norman

Did anyone actually not have this bag? Deciding which design to get was something that took a lot of time and thought- were you a blue or pink kinda Jane Norman?

The Plastic Jane Norman

When the fabric one just wasn’t enough. You had to make sure people knew X2 that you had a Jane Norman bag.

The Paul’s Boutique

How did these ever make it so big? I’m so glad we’ve all grown up and got past this phase…

THE Adidas One

The corridors were absolutely flooded with this badboy. This royal blue one was a crowd pleaser back in the day.

The Little Brown Bag

These barely fit our dinners in, but you felt glam walking down the corridors with one on your arm.

The JD String Bag

An absolute classic. This was always my go-to PE/ food tech bag, anyone else?

The Bubble Bag

Who did we think we were? Looking back, these hideous things did absolutely nothing for us, but make us look like turtles.

The Morgan One

You were either a Jane Norman or Morgan kinda girl- which were you?
