What is the show about?

For those of you who have no idea what His Dark Materials is, it is a TV show produced by Bad Wold and New Line Cinema, for BBC and HBO, based upon the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman. The trilogy features the books Northern Lights (published as The Golden Compass in America), The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass. The story follows Lyra Belacqua and Will Parry in parallel universes.

With witches, an armoured bear, religion and more, the show is expected to be bigger than Harry Potter and Game of Thrones combined.
