Turns out Lorraine was just experiencing dry-hands syndrome from too much handwashing!

Lorraine Kelly married her husband Steve Smith in 1992 and they have been happily married ever since.
Yup, she has been married to her husband for 28 years!
Thankfully for us, Lorraine Kelly shares snippets about her personal life to the media.
She talks about her wedding to husband and cameraman Steve Smith which she described as a ‘wee’ wedding.
Her dress? She described it as:
“My dress… Uyuy-yuy. It was 1992, so it was king of like a Princess Diana Bouffant thing with big sleeves – oh God.”
“We could all get in it! We could all fit in my fit in my dress. I’ve still got it.”
Don’t you just love her?
Jokingly Lorraine once commented when asked about her long-standing marriage with Steve Smith since 1992:
“I know that poor man! Steve’s put up with me for nearly 25 years. It just works.”

How did they meet? Steve was her cameraman!
While Lorraine and Steve were living apart for quite some time due to her job, they saw each other far more often while they were dating.
Lorraine said in an interview with Best Magazine:
“We do long distance now; I travel to Dundee, or he comes to London. But when he was my cameraman in the late ‘80s, we saw each other 24/7.”
“Both scenarios have worked for us. Now we use FaceTime, and Whatsapp calls.”

For some good news, the couple have since moved to live with each other in Buckinghamshire!
We’re glad that they can finally be together.

After being married for 3 years, the pair had daughter Rosie in 1995.
Lorraine was engulfed in sadness when Rosie left the nest to go halfway across the globe to live in Singapore, saying:
“The house is very quiet now Rosie has left home – it’s also unnaturally tidy.”
The couple are still having loads of fun even after being married for so long.
During the lockdown, we’re so thankful for Lorraine’s YouTube channel where we caught rare glimpses into her life!
Most recently, we couldn’t stop smiling when we watched the video of Lorraine stepping in as Steve’s barber amid the lockdown!
Lorraine and Steve were in their garden when she said to the camera:
“Week four of lockdown – things are getting pretty desperate, Steve’s hair is really really long, so I’ve got these things. I’ve never done this before, but I’m going to attempt to cut his hair.”
Sounds… scary!
The TV presenter turned later barber explained how she did it:
“Basically I just used the kitchen scissors I used that thing, the clippers, for the front and then after that I used scissors but you’re right you’ve got to get proper tools.”
Lorraine Kelly and Her Husband’s Perfect Marriage
Lorraine and Steve look like they have the perfect marriage or shall we say #couplegoals.
They often celebrate their wedding anniversaries with Lorraine posting cute pictures of them on her Instagram.
The couple even flew to Singapore to visit Rosie when international travel was still a thing and even making a pit-stop in Bangkok!
They were seen wining and dining at beautiful restaurants while enjoying cocktails and sunshine.
They sure know how to relax and have fun!
In fact, Lorraine and Steve regularly go on exotic holidays together like when they went to Tanzania for a safari holiday.
Lorraine and Steve’s Family Reunion
What else has the couple been up to during the lockdown?
Few months after the lockdown began, the couple welcomed back daughter Rosie all the way from Singapore!
The heart-warming reunion was captured by cameraman Steve for Lorraine’s YouTube channel.
Lorraine and Steve’s little family is reunited once more as one of the first things they did as a family was to take their dog Angus out for a walk!
Mum and daughter are both excited to be back in each other’s company and already have plans for daily workouts like yoga Bootcamp classes.
And we’re so happy for them!
