Dancing On Ice 2019 – Who Was Part Of The Line Up?

It’s unsure when the greatest show on ice will return, so let’s take a look back at some of the previous seasons, starting with Dancing On Ice 2019.

    The judging panel

As always, ice dancing legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean were the co-heads of the judging panel. They were joined by Diversity’s Ashley Banjo and previous judge Jason Gardiner.

The dream team of Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were the show’s presenters.

Who made up the Dancing On Ice 2019 line up?

The 2019 line up was made up of twelve contestants.

The first contestant to leave the competition was Mark Little who was paired up with Brianne Delcourt. He is best known for appearing on Neighbours.

Eastenders star Richard Blackwood, who was partnered with Carlotta Edwards, was second to leave the competition.

Next out was Didi Conn. Didi is best known for playing Frenchy in Grease. At 67, she’s the oldest person to have taken part in the show. Her partner was Łukasz Różycki.

She found herself in the bottom two with Saara Aalto and unfortunately, it was her turn to leave.

Loose Women star Saira Khan and her partner Mark Hanretty became the fourth couple to leave the competition.

The competition was heating up… but who would make the cut

Reality TV star Gemma Collins, and her partner Matt Evers, had a very dramatic competition. She was the fifth person to leave the competition; which was perhaps later than some people would’ve liked!

The next week was a double elimination! Ryan Sidebottom, a former England cricket player, Jane Danson, who is best known for playing Leanne on Coronation Street, and Melody Thornton of the Pussycat Dolls were in the dance off.

The judging panel chose to save Melody, however the former Pussycat Doll was eliminated from the competition just one week later just missing out on a place in the semi-finals.

They may not have made the Semi Final, but @melodythornton and @alixdemi can leave with their heads held high. Thank you for eight weeks of incredible, exciting and simply gorgeous skates 💖 #DancingOnIce

Former Westlife singer Brian McFadden and his partner Alex Murphy were the couple who just missed out on a place in the final three of series eleven.

The final three of Dancing On Ice 2019

Previous Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan, star of Love Island Wes Nelson and The X Factor star Saara Aalto were the final three celebrities in the competition.

It was Saara and her partner Hamish Gaman were the couple who missed out on performing the iconic bolero routine.

Throughout the competition James and Wes were often competing for the top of the leaderboard and it was no different in the final. It was James who managed to bag the trophy and saw him and his partner Alexandra Schauman lift the trophy.
