Ever since the tragic passing of niece Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) after a long, tumultuous battle with cancer, Beth became at odds with her widowed husband Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) after he begins a relationship with Bethany Platt.

The pair had shared a kiss when Sinead was on her death bed and it seems that they couldn’t deny their attraction in spite of Daniel’s grief.
