With a wealth of followers, people are dying to know more about the stunner – so what is Maya Jama‘s height and how did she break into the fashion industry?

Bursting into the limelight at such a young age, Maya Indea Jama has amassed a serious following. Whether you’re in to her televisions hows, her radio shows or her fashion, we’re all admittedly a bit obsessed with the brunette beauty.

Not only are we jealous of her stunning good looks, we’re also jealous of her four-year relationship with rapper Stormzy (yes, they have parted ways, but we’re still in denial.)

With a wealth of Instagram followers and fans of her fashion line, people are just dying to know more about the southern stunner. So, to dish out everything you need to know, we’re taking a look at Maya Jama‘s height and her successful career.

    What Is Maya Jama’s Height?

The radio and TV presenter once confirmed her height in a tweet responding to someone who claimed that she looked shorter than expected in real life.

Maya Jama was born in 1994 in Bristol, England. She is of Somali descent on her father’s side and Swedish descent on her mother’s side.

    What Has She Worked On?

She was just sixteen when she moved to London to pursue a career as an actress and has since had an extremely successful presenting career. Her career started with her presenting the weekly music video countdown on JumpOff.TV.

Since then, she has progressed to present TV shows from Trending Live! to Cannonball with Freddie Flintoff to The Circle with Alice Levine.

In August 2014, Jama joined MTV, worked for Sky and became a weekday DJ on BBC radio, presenting Radio 1’s Greatest Hits on Saturdays. In 2017, she became the youngest person ever to co-host the MOBO Awards with former JLS member Marvin Humes.

Sticking along the line of award shows, Maya Jama has also hosted the 2017 Pre BRITs Party and hosted a live Facebook stream from the the Red Carpet.

    Breaking Into The Fashion World

Her successful career in radio and television cultivated her a large following and her strong social media skills (and stellar sense of fashion) meant that she easily broke into the world of being a fashion icon.

Maya is an ambassador for the lingerie brand Freya; presenting their podcast When Life Gives You Melons.  She is also an ambassador for Adidas, appeared in a JD Sports campaign and is an ambassador for Aussie Hair.

In 2019, she was voted for best dressed star at the People’s Choice Awards. So it is no surprise that she has her own fashion range via Pretty Little Thing.

    Described on the website:

“This collection is for every girl and the rule is anything goes so leave all that real life sh*t behind, pack your best looks and holla at your fave girls. Maya Jama is taking you on a road trip of nothing but good vibes and easy living.”

We’re sensing an online shopping spree any second now…

    Her Brush With Glandular Fever

In February 2020, Maya posted on social media selfies of herself with a swollen face as she suspected that she might potentially have mumps or glandular fever!

She later posted an update on her condition, confirming that it was luckily neither of the two!

UPDATE: I have been given the all clear I do not have mumps! Or Glandular fever! 😂😂 so I don’t have to be on quarantine anymore, they still don’t have a bloody clue but I’m not contagious so WE MOVE 🥳🥳

Then, in true Maya fashion, she killed it at the BRITS just three days later!
