Ellie And Izzi Gogglebox: Real Life Jobs Of The Cast

From Ellie and Izzi (Gogglebox favs) to Giles and Mary, we’re looking at the jobs the cast have IRL.

Sitting on your sofa to watch someone sitting on theirs chatting about (or slagging off) the week’s TV doesn’t sound like much entertainment, but trust us, it’s a winning formula – and it seems the UK just can’t get enough of it…

We know what they think about Love Island, what they snack on for supper and the layout of their living room, but while we watch the Gogglebox clan each week, we don’t actually know that much about their lives…

From Giles and Mary’s quirky wit to Ellie and Izzi’s laugh out loud one liners, when it comes to having a giggle, the Channel 4 show delivers time and time again.

So, let’s find out about the lives of the contestants we’ve grown to love…

Ellie and Izzi (Gogglebox Favourites), Leeds

We’ve been entertained by the Warner sisters for years but they don’t just spend their time sat around watching TV…

Younger sister, red-haired Izzi has a four year old son called Bobby who keeps her very busy, whilst 28 year old Ellie is a hairdresser who showcases her work @elliewarnerhair on Instagram.

Izzi also does nails to earn a bit of extra money…

Here’s Her Work…

Tremaine, Twaine and Tristan, Bristol

The three hilarious brothers signed up for Gogglebox in 2017 and are known for their love of football – so, you can probably guess their day jobs, right?

Tristan is a midfielder for Hereford FC and Twaine also is a footballer, playing for Bradford Town. Their brother Tremaine doesn’t work in football, instead, he’s a chef AND he has an ADORABLE pug.

Scott, Georgia and Isaac McCormick, Peterborough

Scott isn’t just a man with a massive beard, he’s also an aeronautical engineer, who’s spent 22 years in the RAF. His wife Georgia is a tutor for hairdressers. Their son Isaac has Tourette’s syndrome so the family signed up to the show to try to raise awareness of the condition.

Dave and Shirley, Caerphilly

With 40 years of marriage under their belts, Dave is now a cleaner in a factor and Shirley works in retail.

Mary and Marina, Bristol

Ahhh, Mary and Marina. The widowed BFFs who live in the same retirement home quickly stole the hearts of nation. Whilst we’re not exactly sure what job they used to do, we know that the best friends are now retired and spend their time chilling out and, of course, watching TV.

Linda & Pete McGarry, and George Gilbey, Clacton on Sea

Although they were favourites with the viewers, the couple and son were briefly axed from the show back in 2014 after George broke the show’s rules by appearing on another TV show, Celebrity Big Brother.

Linda and Pete have been married for around 19 years, she’s a carer and he’s an electrician, the same as his stepson George. The pair have also fostered around 60 children together!

Baasit, Umar and Sid Siddiquis, Derby

The smart Siddiqui brothers work in IT – Baasit is an IT teacher and Umar is an IT technician. Their dad Sid, is a retired engineer.

He’s been married to his wife for 37 years and also has two daughters, who prefer not to be on TV.

The Malones, Manchester

The dad of the family, Tom Sr is a lorry driver and mum Julie’s a receptionist. Believe it or not, Tom Jr is a freelance model who’s performed with loads of big bands including the Black Eyed Peas, while Shaun was an actor in Billy Elliott before taking up coaching for Manchester United’s Under-16s Ability Counts football.

The Tappers, North London

Mum Nikki is a nursery school teacher and dad Jonathan used to be a chef but is now a chauffeur.

Giles & Mary, Wiltshire

As expected, the quirky couple have careers that are very much suited to their personalities. Giles is an artist while Mary is a journalist and Spectator magazine resident agony aunt. She’s also written her very own etiquette book, ‘How the Queen Can Make You Happy’, which was published in 2012.

Jenny & Lee, East Riding

The best friends who film together in her caravan met 21 years ago when Jenny was the landlady of the Crown Inn pub in Paull, a village near Hull and Lee was a regular.

Jenny and Lee joined the show after Jenny met the show’s researchers at Beverley Races Ladies’ Day.

The Woerdenwebers, The Wirral

Known for their deadpan humour and silent (now) ex boyfriend of Jay – the one who sat on the sofa and never spoke – the Woerdenweber family were certainly a Gogglebox favourite.

Unsurprisingly, mum Viv has her own tattoo studio and her daughter runs a New Age shop nearby, selling incense, oils and Pagan jewellery.

Viv met drummer Ralf in 2007 when she was out with a friend celebrating the Pagan festival of Yule.
