Annie Perks Age: Who Is Ben Shephard’s Wife?

TV personality Ben Shephard is one of ITV’s best-recognised TV presenters, but we know absolutely nothing about his wife, Annie Perks.

Who Is Annie Perks?

Annie and Ben tied the knot back in 2004, but prior to their marriage they had been in a relationship for nine years – when Annie Perk’s age was just 24!!

Annie Perks’ age is now 43, while her hubby Ben is 45.

In 2004, Ben told his friends and family of their engagement with a jokey and candid post that read:

“It had only taken me nine years to ask her (you can’t rush these things!). I’m still not sure quite how I managed to persuade her to put up with me, but I’m very glad that I did, and she still hasn’t worked out that there are far better options out there.”

They Have A Fun Relationship…

The pair have also had a humorous relationship; while presenting Good Morning Britain, Ben was asked why he’d never appeared on Strictly Come Dancing. To which Ben joked:

“My wife didn’t want me to have an affair. That’s the only reason why I wanted to do it.”

The Shephards have two teenage boys, Sam (14) an Jack (12) and they all live together in London.

When Ben Quit His Job For Annie…

In July last year, Ben shared a video to Instagram revealing that Annie had pneumonia but was now ‘on the mend’. A month later, the 45 year old announced that he was leaving his job as presenter on Goals On Sunday, a job he’d held for nine years.

Ben revealed that he’d given up the position so he could spend more time with his family:

“My boys are at an age when they need me around, perhaps even more now than when they were younger.

“I was on GMTV every weekday while they were growing up. It meant I could go to their after-school matches, but I would have to be in bed by 7pm.

“It got to the point when it was they who tucked me up and read me a story, not the other way round.

“Now they’re teenagers, Sam is taller than me and Jack is not far behind, which I’m trying to come to terms with. They’re consumed by schoolwork all week, the weekend is the only time I can spend with them.

“Jack got upset recently because I haven’t been able to go to his cricket matches. We had conversations and I reassured him it would soon be over.

“Both have football and rugby on Sunday mornings, which I’ve never been able to go to because of work.
