Whether they’re filmed sipping on champagne, posing in their Porsches or dining out in swanky restaurants, it appears that the Essex stars aren’t exactly strapped for cash. But which cast members have second jobs to afford their lavish lives and who can rely on their celeb status for a living?

Here what the TOWIE cast do for work when the camera’s aren’t rolling…

Georgia Kousoulou – Swimwear Collection

Coming from a wealthy background – her dad is a successful businessman – Georgia learned about the fashion industry early in her life. She’s launched her own swimwear collection, Summer Dreams By Georgia K as well as creating her own clothing brand Boyfriend Tokyo, inspired by Japanese street culture.

Pete Wicks – Director Of A Company

As well as modelling and appearing in other reality TV shows (how could we ever forget him on Celebs Go Dating…), Pete used to be the director of a company in the centre of London. He left his job when he started working for TOWIE.

The star revealed:

“The show has turned my life upside down. Before that I worked in the city for nearly 11 years.

“I had a fairly good job, I was a director of a company for years.

“We supplied consultant doctors to the NHS. It was a complete contrast to what I’m doing now.”

Before TOWIE Dan was an electrician, but during the show, it was revealed that Dan was working on the side for a fraudulent investment company, one which scammed its customers out of around £450k by selling overpriced coloured diamonds.

Tommy is usually seen on screen chilling out with his girlfriend Georgia Kousoulou and his lad pals. But off-screen, he’s worked hard to build a successful fashion brand Tommy Mallet Footwear. After leaving school with no qualifications, he worked as a carpenter before starting to design high quality trainers in 2015.

A few years later, the entrepreneur has turned his shoe designing hobby into a multi-million pound business (Tommy Mallet footwear), attracting a bunch of famous fans, including David Beckham, Drake and Craig David.
