6) Cedric Diggory (Robert Pattinson)
Another thing that the Harry Potter series is undeniably chock-full of, is tragedy. In fact, the entire thing basically starts off with freakin’ tragedy. But nothing (and I mean NOTHING) could prepare us for the sudden, untimely death of Cedric Diggory.

It’s safe to say that Cedric was a golden boy – Prefect for Hufflepuff house, Captain and Seeker of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team and Harry’s biggest competition not only for the Triwizard cup, but also for the affections of Cho Chang. Diggory was murdered by Voldemort after the Triwizard cup had been tampered with during the tournament.
