Charley Webb Instagram Rant Against Parenting Criticism

Mums everywhere are praising Emmerdale actress Charley Webb’s instagram rant on ‘annoying people’ constantly giving their two-penneth on parenting.

Charley is best known for playing the character of Debbie Dingle on ITV soap Emmerdale for almost two decades. It was through Emmerdale that Charley Webb met her husband and fellow co-star Matthew Wolfenden, who plays David Metcalfe on the show. The pair have been together since 2009 and tied the knot last year in a private ceremony.

The sneaky couple surprised guests as they had fooled everyone into thinking that they were attending Charley’s birthday party! Charley told OK!

‘That moment when we announced what we were doing and seeing everybody’s reaction is the best moment of my life.’

Now having recently given birth to her third child, baby Ace Gene, Charley spoke out on Instagram about being shamed for her parenting choices with nine-year old son Buster and Bowie, three.

Charley Has Hit Out At Critics On Social Media

She wrote:

‘I’ve found since having kids everyone’s got an opinion on what’s right and what’s wrong. “Don’t let them in your bed, you’re making a rod for your own back.” No, I will let them in my bed. And I will wake up to a tiny face resting on my arm because I want to. They’re babies and then they’re grown up, so much quicker than I ever thought was possible. Always do what is right for you and your kids. Not annoying people around you thinking they know best. They don’t.’

Charley Recently Gave Birth To Baby Ace Gene

The Debbie Dingle actress recently gave birth to baby number 3, a boy named ‘Ace Gene’ in July – and a dramatic birth to say the least! The mum-of-three told OK! magazine that:

‘The umbilical cord was wrapped around Ace’s neck when he was born. It came off and he was passed to me but I could tell something was wrong.

‘Ace wasn’t breathing at first – so the midwife had to press the panic button. I felt weirdly calm as I’d only just pushed him out and was a bit zoned out from the gas and air, although I was together enough to see that he wasn’t breathing.’

Hubby Matthew added:

‘She said he’d cough and splutter, but he didn’t, so she had Ace on his front and was rubbing his back. Eventually – and it felt like an hour but it was probably just seconds – he coughed and was fine. By the time someone had come through the door from the panic button being pressed, Ace was breathing again, so it couldn’t have been long. Although it felt like a lifetime.’

Thankfully, all is well now!

Cruel Trolls Have Made Jibes About The Boys’ Long Hair

Charley also hit out at trolls who cruelly poked fun at her sons’, saying they ‘looked like girls’ because of their long hair.

She said:

‘I get asked so many times on here why my kids have got long hair. ‘Why don’t you cut it?’ Or, ‘they look like girls’. The answer is really simple, because we like it and more importantly they like it.

Charley Is Having None Of It!

She added in a post to followers that:

‘I can’t believe how many messages I’ve had asking if I’ve cut Bowie’s hair because of negative comments on Instagram. The answer to that is no. If I was cutting my child’s hair because people were being negative that would be very worrying.’

The yummy mummy has spoken! Take your criticism elsewhere!
