Billie Fairers and now-husband Greg Shepherd have come a long way since the TV sensation first starred on The Only Way Is Essex.

When Did They Meet?
Billie and Greg met back in 2012, a year after she made her debut on TOWIE. Although Billie and Greg’s relationship never really featured on the show as they aimed to keep their relationship private, Greg was occasionally seen in small scenes on the ITVBe show.
In 2013, Billie revealed:
“The producers have asked him to come on the show, but he’s a successful businessman and I like to keep the relationship private. I enjoy keeping Greg and TOWIE separate – I can come home from a long day of filming and have a sense of normality.”

When Did They Get Engaged?
Greg proposed to Billie in 2014, when she was pregnant with their first child, Nelly. The businessman arranged for the couple to hire a private island in the Maldives so he could pop the question in an equally as private moment.
The lavish engagement ring was designed by a specialist jeweller at Hatton Garden and is five-carats with two small diamonds each side.
The former glamour model revealed:
“He said, ‘I love you, I want to spend the rest of my life with you and I know our baby will be just as beautiful as you are. Will you marry me?’ Then he started crying.
“It took a while for it all to sink it and then ten minutes later I got a bit tearful too.”
A few months after the engagement, Billie decided to quit Towie in order to focus on her family.
