Ant Middleton’s net worth is £32.5 million.

What’s his back story?

Anthony Middleton was born on September 22nd, 1980 in Portsmouth. However, he grew up in rural France.

At the mere age of 16 he joined the army. Ant had always dreamed of being in the armed forces, but recently admitted why:

‘I joined the Royal Engineers at the age of 16 and in all honesty, it was just a way to get back to the UK.

We moved to France when I was nine and I dreamed of getting a job that would get me back home.

The military was perfect as it would give me somewhere to live, something to eat, a place to learn new skills and full-time employment’.

After leaving the army, he decided that he wanted to join the Royal Marines.

In 2008, Ant became a member of the Special Boat Service, SBS – part of the Royal Navy’s special forces. It is the sister unit of the SAS.

He was part of the SBS for four years and served as both a sniper and a point man.

SAS: Who Dares Wins

After spending 13 years completing the ‘Holy Trinity’ in the elite forces, Ant was approached by Channel 4 about the series, SAS: Who Dares Wins.

The series sees ordinary people take part in a fortnight-long training course that is set to emulate that of the Special Air Service selection process.

Despite the impression the show gives off, Ant has never been part of the SAS.

The show is extremely successful. It has had four seasons – the most recent of which allowed women compete for the first time ever. The decision came about after the Ministry of Defence revealed their choice to allow women to sign up for the Special Forces.

There has also been a celebrity edition for Stand Up To Cancer. Contestants included Ben Foden, Andrea McLean and Victoria Pendleton who ended up saying:

‘[The show] was a bit of unconventional therapy in many ways … so much fun, it was really hard work but you learn so much about yourself when you are pushed into that survival zone.

‘They challenge you in terms of pushing your courage and trust … it gets you out of your own head’.

Other endeavours that have helped increase Ant’s net worth…

In 2017, Ant took part in the show Mutiny on the Bounty. He was the boat captain and has since stated that:

‘Mentally speaking, [it’s] the hardest thing I’ve ever done’.

He has also written numerous books. Again in 2017, he co-authored, SAS: Who Dares Wins: Leadership Secrets from the Special Forces. He wrote the book alongside his Channel 4 series co-presenters, Jason Fox, Matthew ‘Ollie’ Ollerton and Colin Maclachlan.

In 2018 he became a Sunday Times Number 1 bestseller with his autobiography, First Man In: Leading From The Front.

He released his second book, The Fear Bubble: Harness Fear and Live Without Limits in 2019.

Ant also runs ‘Mind Over Muscle’. They are a series of Day Camps that are set to:

‘Maximise your mind and body to reach the potential you never knew you had’.

In 2019, Ant took the day camps on tour.

They have four children: Shyla, Gabriel, Bligh and Priseis. Ant has a son, Oakley, from a previous relationship.

In 2013, Ant was in a ‘nightclub bust-up’ in his town of residence. He was arrested for the unlawful wounding of a police officer as well as assaulting a second police officer.

Ant was sentenced to 14 months in prison but was released after four months.
