Nobody wants to work in a job where all of the above applies because – let’s face it – job satisfaction is the one absolute important reason for working…well, besides the money of course.

So it may surprise you to know that awful companies aren’t just found in specific sectors like you probably assume (e.g. retail) but almost everywhere.

The good, the bad and the ugly

Employees (current and ex) use Glassdoor to leave ratings and reviews of companies they worked for. Over the years, a company called 24/7 Wall St have compiled reports which identify the worst of the bunch. Here are a few, in no particular order…

The gym chain has over 700 clubs across the country, but one worker claims the owner would rather have them watering down hand soap than use money properly…

The same employee reveals that instead of checking chlorine levels in pools for health and safety reasons, some people just check it off the list – these gyms need to be closed down!
