The TV presenter’s 20-year-old sibling Soph Piper is wanted by bosses of the ITV2 dating show, because they are hoping the star’s famous sister and brother-in-law Marvin Humes will help to boost the programme’s ratings.

An insider said:

“ITV2 bosses are really keen for Soph to be the star of this year’s series.

“Last year they had Dani and her claim to fame with dad Danny captured viewers and boasted the show’s ratings.

“This year they’re hoping to do the same with Rochelle and her youngest sister, who’s the spitting image of her.”

Soph is said to be considering an offer to join the programme, which is set in Majorca, and is no stranger to Spanish land masses having done a season in Ibiza.

The insider added to The Sun Online:

“Soph is the perfect islander – she’s incredibly beautiful and loves meeting new people after already doing a season in Ibiza.

“She’s currently deciding with her family if it’s the right move for her but it’s looking like a strong possibility.”

‘Love Island’ presenter Caroline Flack revealed last week that the ITV2 programme was due to begin shooting soon.

Speaking last week, she said:

What’s really exciting about this week is that we start filming for ‘Love Island’ 2019.

“And by the end of the week I’m going to have potentially have seen the cast for this year, which is really exciting.

“And mad that’s it’s come around this quick! So I’ll let you know what happens. It’s going to be a long, hot summer and all that.”

However, some believe the programme should be axed after former contestant Mike Thalassitis was found dead aged 26 last month.

Malin Andersson, who appeared in the 2016 series of the show, asked her Twitter followers:

“Do you think Love Island should air this summer? (sic)”

She then wrote:

“I reckon the bad outweighs the good (sic)”
