Noah Gregory Centineo was born in Miami, Florida back in 1996.  Raised in Boynton Beach Florida, his father was an executive producer and young Noah went on to attend the BAK Middle School of the Arts.

Noah Centineo Age 8 – He Attends An Open Casting Call With His Sister

At just 8 years old, Noah’s dream of becoming an actor was set in stone after he was dragged along to an open casting call by his sister Taylor, an aspiring model. He was encouraged to audition himself and the rest is history.

He told Pop-Culturalist.com that:

‘My sister wanted to be a model and I was dragged along to support her. I give [my success] to her. She gets really tense when I tell the story, but I give it to her.’

Age 11 – He Lands His First Ever On Screen Role In The Gold Retriever

In 2009, at the age of 13, Noah made his debut on-screen appearance in family film The Gold Retrievers, taking the lead role as Josh Peters.

Age 14 – He Joins Disney Channel

As a young teen, Noah moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career, convincing his parents that it something he needed to do. Telling the New York Times, he said:

‘That’s when I looked at my parents and was like, ‘Yo, I’m about it. If you move me there I’ll be successful. This is what I want to dedicate my life to.’

Age 16 – ‘I know myself, I’m not gonna be a mathematician or a professor’

The talented teen was still waiting for his big break but his boyband-material good looks definitely helped him in the meantime. He told THR:

‘I moved across the country to become an actor, not an academic type. I know myself, I’m not gonna be a mathematician or a professor.’

Age 18 – Noah’s Parents Worry About His Career Prospects

After landing minor roles on a few episodes here and there, Noah’s parents began to worry if their son’s dream of becoming an actor was a good idea. He told The Los Angeles Time that:

‘My parents were, like, “We’ve been out here for almost three years and you haven’t made it as an actor.” They didn’t see it. I wasn’t on my own show. I wasn’t famous.’

They wanted him to go college but Noah begged them not to give up on him just yet.

Age 18 – He Gets His Big Break And Stars In The Fosters

Just when he was on the verge of giving up, at the age of 18, Noah Centineo won the leading role of Jesus Adams Foster and starred in Freeform’s drama series The Fosters – which aired in August 2015.

He went on to be nominated for the Teen Choice Award for Choice Summer TV Star: Male for his performance.

Age 19 – He Appears In The Music Video For ‘Havana’

Noah was starting to make a breakthrough in his career, going on to appear in Camila Cabello’s music video for number one single ‘Havana’.

Age 21 – Noah Decides To Go Sober

Calling it an ‘act of self-love’, Noah decided to give up drinking. He said:

‘What I found was, when I took care of my body, my mind and my emotions and my heart were way happier. When I wasn’t drinking, when I wasn’t smoking weed and partying, I was responsible for my actions and I could choose my actions from a more mindful place. And my life changed — drastically.’
