1) Limit further welfare spending increases.

Especially in towns where wages are higher than the average the average weekly wage. To put it plainly, they need to build more houses.

2) Boost more of these local economies that are struggling.

An area requiring major improvement is the skill levels of the local workforce.

Recent reports suggest that devolution of spending to local government could potentially help to decrease people’s reliance on benefits.

Because employment and skills programmes aren’t being focused on as a possible resource, there are a few people who are being hindered from getting back into work.

By focusing on local economies that are struggling to stay stable, these areas will see an increase in housing, jobs and (hopefully) wages.
