Remember The Boyfriends From Friends? This Is What They Look Like Now

Monica, Rachel and Phoebe certainly had some interesting romantic alliances during their time, didn’t they? In fact, some of the most hilarious moments of Friends occurred during their failed dates.

But whatever happened to the many boyfriends that made such brief appearances in the show? And where are they now?

1. Paul the Wine Guy (John Allen Nelson) – THEN

Monica notoriously dated quite a few chaps throughout the course of the show. But do you remember Paul? He was nicknamed ‘the Wine Guy’ by the gang, and appeared during the pilot episode. He just so happens to be the very first boyfriend we ever clapped eyes on.

The two met at work and had dinner together. During the date, Paul told Monica: “Since my wife left me, I haven’t been able to perform… sexually”. Whilst we were all sat there shaking our heads, Monica, of course, fell for the ruse and actually slept with the bloke!

And whilst dear Paul was destined never to be seen again, John Allen Nelson went on to appear in several films and TV shows including Grey’s Anatomy, CSI: Miami and Criminal Minds. He most recently appeared in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend – an American rom-com musical drama.
