Chris Pine And Samira Mighty: What Really Happened?
She didn’t have had the best of luck with men in the villa, but she did have some with a Hollywood actor. See what happened between Chris Pine and Samira…
She was one of the nation’s favourites during the 2018 series of the Island, but not so much with the boys in the villa. Following a fair few knock backs and constant ‘friend’ recouplings, she finally found someone she connected with, in the name of Frankie Foster.

“He was back and forth between VIP and the dance floor and when he saw the girl he just sort of grabbed her and started chatting to her.”
Well, that didn’t take long for the fame to get the better of him. When asked about Samira, he completely discredited their relationship:
‘No, it’s fake. It’s all for the cameras.’
OUCH.
“Then he kissed her and, very weirdly, started licking her face. It was very strange.”

This was all happening unbeknownst to Samira whilst she was busy making the most of her newly found fame, in a club elsewhere in the country. Of course, like most people riddled with guilt and regret, Frankie played it down:
 “There’s been stuff in the papers but what’s come out that we’ve dealt with and it’s a very small part of what we’ve done since coming out.”
Given that Samira had previously admitted that she had fallen in love (with Frankie) in the villa, her response was perhaps surprising:
“Obviously it’s been a bit difficult, but obviously we’re positive now and it’s fine.”
We think she was just being the bigger person by not bad-mouthing him and this actually translates to they don’t speak and never will. Can you blame the girl?!

She might not have got exactly what she wanted from her Love Island experience, but we can’t imagine she struggled for options before the Island, never mind now…
Well, in fact, we know she didn’t struggle- so much so, she was involved with a Hollywood actor. Quite the opposite of a struggle…
The actor in question is Star Trek’s Chris Pine (who looks actually strikingly similar to Frankie- it’s all in the jawline). The two clocked eyes when they met at a GQ man of the year after party back in 2016. As all of our girls do, she did her research- but not in the form of an in-depth Facebook stalk- she just had to google his name:
“I kind of looked him up and thought I recognised this guy, he’s kinda a pretty big deal”
A bigger one than Frankster, anyway! He did star in a movie with Lindsey Lohan, after all!
Samira claimed that she went on a date with Chris Pine, after he asked her to take his number. One thing led to another and the pair dated briefly. That’s a story to tell! Bearing in mind, this was a couple of years before her Love Island days, but I suppose being at a GQ afterparty meant she was a bit of a somebody even back then. Can’t picture myself rocking up to one of them, expecting to be let in…
Despite the Love Island star openly confessing about her brief fling with Chris Pine, the 38-year-old actor had the audacity to shrug the whole thing off when she was mentioned in an interview.

When questioned about his former flame, at the The Outlaw King premiere, he completely disregarded even having met her! Showbiz, ey! It seems like that’s the end of Chris Pine and Samira.
Samira was of course made aware of Chris’ reaction, to which she had her own reaction to (and it’s a funny one):
It was clear the 22-year-old saw the funny side of the public pieing:
“I actually didn’t know and I looked on Twitter and was like, what is this GIF? I tell you now, I watched it about 10 times, I was crying with laughter. It was so funny.”

The kind of character she is, you can picture this to actually be the case as well. If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry as they say…
“The thing is, I don’t even care, it was so obvious it hurt. My man could have just said like, hope she’s well. I thought wow. It’s just funny.”
Reflecting on the whole situation and her experience of dating a Hollywood star, she revealed how she thought ‘he seems fun’ so just to go for it:
“I’d just broken up with my boyfriend as well so I was like “fuck it, I’m gonna go on a date with Chris Pine!”
What did she have to lose? Apart from the potential of a public pieing (but even that’s not an issue- she handled it like a boss).
It might have seemed that Pine was the one with the upper-hand, but the pair apparently went their separate ways on Samira’s terms. She wasn’t ready to date in the end, so soon after her ex, so she decided to end things.
She admits the actor still does text her from time to time- all we can say is, we hope he got a strongly worded message after his performance at the Premiere!

Samira’s mum, Tracy Burt, revealed in an interview that Samira had come home from the afterparty speaking about ‘some actor who followed her around’.
The pair at first had no idea it was in fact Chris Pine, but what they did know is he seemed keen.
Tracy revealed that a few weeks later her phone ended up being linked to her daughter’s, when a message from Pine himself popped up:
“I thought it was Samira and replied ‘I’m off to get cat litter, back soon!”
Imagine. Just imagine. What a TYPICAL Mum thing to do. It didn’t seem to scare him off though, given that he still reportedly messages Samira. Her mum seemed to be a massive fan of him (that was probably before he pied her daughter on the red carpet):
“I almost got to the point of going to Chris Pine and saying, ‘Get yourself in that villa and shake those boys!'”
If only she would have- maybe it would have put Samira off the scent of love-rat Frankie!

A year after Love Island and Samira seems to be living her best (single?) life more than ever, going on holiday after holiday and document it all on the ‘gram, being the influencer she is.
Samira was linked to Ibiza Weekender’s Alex Dean back in March, but the pair seem to have been quiet since. But, who knows who she’s dating behind the scenes- just as long as it’s not Frankie…
